Playing JK: Jedi Academy on Linux (Mint here) via Wine / the console doesn't come up? [SOLUTION]

Just wanted to share this one quickly here as i noticed many others have this issue playing JKJA on Linux via Wine.

Shift + tilde (~) doesn't work then. It used to work, but some kind of regression has occurred along the way.

1. find your way to the installation folder (press control + h in the Home folder to show hidden files & folders) /home/user/.wine/drive_c/"installation folder of Star Wars Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy"/GameData/base/

2. in the base folder there is a jaconfig.cfg file. Right click it and open with a text editor.

3. Find the lines:

bind ` "toggleconsole"
bind ~ "toggleconsole"

4. add a new line:

bind F8 "toggleconsole"

-save and close.

5. Console now should open by simply pressing F8 within a game and not any combination which seems to cause hassle here. You can choose other key than F8 aswell (yet i didn't test it). Exit the console with escape. If pressing escape throws you to menu, just select resume.
