How do I change the staff saber walking animation in an exisiting sp loadout

Fairly new to this forum so apologize in advance for any misunderstandings on my end. I barely started attempting to mod this game recently with success. I'm already pretty far in the game but I don't want this ugly crab walk anymore now that I have the staff saber. any suggestions?

The staff walk and run are both really ugly, you're right. :P You can change them to the default walk and run animations very easily. Are you wanting help on doing that or are you requesting someone do it for you?

I used the walking animations from the Clone Wars mod for staff and changed the walking animation for dual sabers to the normal walking animation. See what you think. Maybe I'll release this here officially, since it's something that I've always used.

More details please.

 

Do you want the default saber walks? 

If so you need to edit the animation.cfg file in notepad. 

Find the animations for the staff walk which is something like:

both_saberstaffwalk #then numbers#

both_saberstaffwalkback #then numbers#

and the default walking animations which look like:

both_walk2 #then numbers#

both_walk2back #then numbers#

 

Now just copy and past the walk2 numbers over the staff ones.

I prefer to use // before the animation line and just add in the new line so that if I make a mistake I can undo it easily.

//both_saberstaffwalk #original numbers#

both_saberstaffwalk #new values#

The // tells the game to ignore that line.
