Making a model selectable in the SP menu

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can either help me with, or explain how to edit a downloaded character model in order for me to be able to pick it as a character in the new game menu.

 

Specifically it's this Kylo Ren model:

I realise there is another Kylo Ren available that does this, but I like the style of this one better (though the other is great). I know you can use console commands to switch models too, but that doesn't seem to effect cutscenes and I would have to keep doing.

 

Basically I got Jedi Academy on steam and really want to get into it again. I played this game so much like 10+ years ago and was even pretty good at altering and setting up mods, but those talents are long gone and now I need help 

 

If anyone can help me out with this at all, I would be extremely grateful.
