Cerez
Thanks for reading. You can talk about stuff-ups in culture without being a political activist. She makes some very good points about marketing cultural and marketing stupidities that lead to confusion in women's lives. Men are also affected by these marketing stupidities in their image of a woman as they are growing up. It's great to see that now there is a greater range of female roles in Star Wars. In many ways we can thank The Clone Wars for that, as well as recent cultural evolution and awareness. Personally, I want to see more kickass heroines. Let them be women, and let them be good at what they're interested in. Let's not put them all into slave clothes and exhibit them as barbie dolls. They're human, and deserve a chance to prove themselves, too. And sometimes it's an amazing when this is done well in a story. Just as Indiana Jones is a man with unique qualities that make him charming and exceptional in his field, so can a female character excel with her unique personal qualities in her chosen field.
