Lamented Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Hey. So I want to record the Mace Windu vs. Darth Sidious battle in HD and upload it to YouTube. The ROTS disc is playable on my computer. However, I don't know which program to use to upload nor how I would do it. Can someone point me in the right direction? Also, I might need help with cutting. Maybe not.
Circa Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 You won't be able to upload it to YouTube. They will make it unplayable due to copyright infringement. To rip a DVD, you can use a program called Handbrake. You can even choose to rip only that chapter, to save you time in splitting it.
Lamented Posted October 11, 2014 Author Posted October 11, 2014 @@Circa What if I uploaded a version of it with a music rescore?
Circa Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 @@Circa What if I uploaded a version of it with a music rescore? As in, mute the original sound and replace it with your own original music? They might still claim it, but you could try. If you're replacing it with music by another composer or artist, then you'll get two claims. One for the video and one for the music.
Lamented Posted October 12, 2014 Author Posted October 12, 2014 @@Circa, can you give me a tutorial word-for-word on how the process goes?
Circa Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 @@Circa, can you give me a tutorial word-for-word on how the process goes? Which process? Using Handbrake?
Circa Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 That is correct, @@Circa.Well first of all, is it a DVD that you're wanting to rip? Or a BluRay? Because a DVD won't be HD.
CaptainCrazy Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 I personally use Bandicam, it has excellent 1080p quality at a lower file size than say FRAPS. I've been using it for a few years now and never had problems
