Mod Pack Problem / Combining .pk3 files

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hello!

I'm trying to make a modpack consisting of ancient sith lord models for SP. I've created the neccesary npc files and they work fine...only if they are in separate .pk3 files.

When bundled together all of them stop working, not only in the "npc spawn"/"playermodel" department but also when I try to forcibly load the models by

"playermodel 'random sith' model_default model_default model_default".

And I get the error :

RE_RegisterSkin ( 'models/players/"random sith"/model_default.skin' ) failed to load!

I've probably missed some obvious solution to my problem tho I've spent too much time on it already and can't really wrap my head around possible cause of this problem.

EDIT/FIX:

Yeah so I've calmed down and in the end it was a very simple solution 🙄. I'm not deleting this topic because :

If any poor goober like me tries for the first time to combine .pk3 files, well you can't just do it manually in WinRAR and expect good outcome.

You have to merge those files using a tool called Packspace linked down below :

This process is neatly explained by Shadow in his guide "Combining .pk3's"
