Custom player character and old maps

Is there's a way I could use a Jedi Academy character in a custom game ? For example, make a custom one like you could in KOTF 2.0 ?

I've also been wondering if there's a way to access certain maps like for exampe Taspir, that I'm pretty certain is in the base game. If no, is there a way I could port it over ?
