Saxondale
Hi everyone, hope you're all well.... I've been playing the latest Movie Duels and really enjoying it, but I also like to dip my toes into the JO and JA SP campaigns from time to time. The problem is that I detest most of the player and npc models in both games. So like many other I have been replacing the player and npcs with various models I've found (mainly on JKHub), purely for personal use when playing SP. The issue I'm having is trying to convert models from MD to work as a player model. Let's take the luke_crait model for example. I've extracted the folders and files for the model I want to use (models/players/luke_crait), and in the 'luke_crait' folder I've added icon_head_a1, icon_torso_a1 and icon_lower_a1. I've also copied and renamed the model_default.skin file to head_a1, torso_a1 and lower_a1 and added a playerchoice.txt file. So now the folder structure is models/players/new_luke The files in the new_luke folder are: belt.jpgbelt_spec.jpgbody.jpgbody_spec.jpgbody2.jpgglove.jpgglove_spec.jpghair.jpghair_spec.jpghead.jpghead_a1.skinicon_default.jpgicon_head_a1.jpgicon_lower_a1.jpgicon_torso_a1.jpglower_a1.skinmodel.glmmodel_default.skinplayerchoice.txtrobe.jpgrobe-parts.jpgsounds.cfgtorso_a1.skintunic.jpg The default, head, torso and lower skin files contain the following: head,models/players/new_luke/head.tgahead_hair,models/players/new_luke/hair.tga torso,models/players/new_luke/body.tgatorso_collar,models/players/new_luke/body2.tgar_arm,models/players/new_luke/robe-parts.tgar_hand,models/players/new_luke/glove.tgal_arm,models/players/new_luke/robe-parts.tgal_hand_cuff,models/players/new_luke/body.tgal_hand,models/players/new_luke/body2.tga hips,models/players/new_luke/body.tgahips_belt,models/players/new_luke/belt.tgahips_skirt,models/players/new_luke/tunic.tgal_leg,models/players/new_luke/body2.tgar_leg,models/players/new_luke/body2.tga torso_robe,models/players/new_luke/robe.tgahips_robe,models/players/new_luke/robe.tgal_shoulder_robe,models/players/new_luke/robe-parts.tgar_shoulder_robe,models/players/new_luke/robe-parts.tgatorso_robe_hood,models/players/new_luke/robe-parts.tgahead_robe_hood,*off hips_robecap_torso,*offtorso_robecap_hips,*off head_cap_torso_off,models/players/stormtrooper/caps.tgatorso_cap_head_off,models/players/stormtrooper/caps.tgatorso_cap_l_arm_off,models/players/stormtrooper/caps.tgatorso_cap_r_arm_off,models/players/stormtrooper/caps.tgal_arm_cap_torso_off,models/players/stormtrooper/caps.tgal_arm_cap_l_hand_off,models/players/stormtrooper/caps.tgal_hand_cap_l_arm_off,models/players/stormtrooper/caps.tgar_arm_cap_torso_off,models/players/stormtrooper/caps.tgar_arm_cap_r_hand_off,models/players/stormtrooper/caps.tgar_hand_cap_r_arm_off,models/players/stormtrooper/caps.tgahips_cap_torso_off,models/players/stormtrooper/caps.tgahips_cap_l_leg_off,models/players/stormtrooper/caps.tgahips_cap_r_leg_off,models/players/stormtrooper/caps.tgal_leg_cap_hips_off,models/players/stormtrooper/caps.tgar_leg_cap_hips_off,models/players/stormtrooper/caps.tga However, after creating the .pk3 and dropping it into the base folder the only thing showing in the player selection menu is the icon of the model. The model itself is invisible. If anyone could tell me where I've gone wrong, I'd be most grateful. Thanks in advance.... Link to comment
