  1. Oh... kay... skipping the haters, and the people who clearly no longer actually play this game... So basically moving onto the staff member I saw post. The only reason I am using this is because other wise the game will not run with my processor (i7-4790k), I am just wondering if I deleted the 1.01/JA+ specific files it would work in 1.00? Now you people who seem to hate 'buggy' games, are the kind of people that buy the new COD game because its new... The gameplay IS different, and even though many people are trying to; it have JA+ servers/mods which completely ruin the game. (e.g. Fairytale admins).
  2. Ha, yes people still do play 1.00, eventhough its 'buggy' and 'glitchy', but I have found that to be half the fun of the game. After having to use openJK to even load JKA now, I was wondering if it is possibly for it to run 1.00, because from the looks of it, it contains 1.01, as I placed openJK into my 1.00 game? Thanks.
  3. After switching back to my old 8800GTS (Which has played JKA for a long time...) I still have the same problem. Is there anything I can do? EDIT - Using openJK seems to have fixed the problem
  4. Spec GA-Z87-D3HP i7-4790K 8GB DDR3 1333MHZ Intel HD4600 (1024MB) Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit) Problem When loading the game, the console opens up, and closes, then the game starts, but stays at the Jedi Knight Academy screen for a moment until windows says that it has stopped responding. No error in the openGL console, or anything else. Obviously I have googled the issue but I haven't found anything else with the same issue. I have tried running in different compatibility modes but with no luck, and of course always running as administrator. I am currently planning on putting my 8800GTX to see if that works until the new GTX800 series is released. I just wanted to make sure that the processor and motherboard support the game, and are not to new. If this is the case is there anything to I can do? Thanks, Enolc
  5. Hmm I had found using larger light sources and light switches seemed to drop FPS by at least 20 which was rather annoying. I am also curious about the best option for lighting an 'outside' area; you say one large light source shouldn't affect the FPS?
  6. I was just wondering if there are any tips to help keep lighting from causing FPS drops such as using more little lights, few bigger lights, or where best to place them in rooms?
  7. Thanks a lot for the help I used a bit of trial ad error and now see why maps don have that many tree entities/ Although I am getting some weird problem where when in-game and insidea room some of the parts look like they are not there, from certain perspectives. I think these screenshots should show what I mean Normal - http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa340/RcEnolc/jamp2013-12-1820-06-22-03_zps7ed6a3e3.jpg Bugged - http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa340/RcEnolc/jamp2013-12-1820-06-24-57_zps7b8347e6.jpg P.S This reply box does not allow paste, and crashes when I tried to use the images url's.
  8. Where will I find q3map2 which supports 2+GB of RAM?; and in radiant 1.4.0 there is no -lomem option in the map compiler, and yes I have 64 bit with 8GB of ram which is why I do not suspect it being an issue.
  9. Hi; I have been working on a 1.00 map for me and my friends for a while now but had an error with gtk for a while so I could not compile, but I still worked on the map. Everything was fine at this point. Now when I try to compile -light, -fast/faster. -vis I get this error, and from what I have read online it seems no one really knows what to do. I have been using GTK 1.4.0. Can you please help. This is a link to the .map if you need any of the files e.g. shaders just ask, thank you. http://www.mediafire.com/view/68tvmr0zadh2g82/rcmap.map
