Mysterious Stranger
Hypernia has a cloud sale going on right now which I'm rather tempted to get, but I don't know the difference between Cloud and non-cloud vps. All I know is that Cloud appears to be cheaper than standard VPS even if more or less same specifications. There's also an Aussie game host that runs on cloud, though I've never tried that. Any techies able to tell me if there are downsides to taking Cloud vps over standard vps for JKA hosting? Also uh, there's a windows desktop right...? Link to comment
Ory'Hara
wavin, stranger, i have a cloud vps via host1free, it runs fine, i can run 2 jka servers off of it i checkec out hypernia's deal, i only seen centos, which is linux, lol. most likely you will nothave a gui via rdp or vnc, you will have a ssh command line terminal Link to comment
Mysterious Stranger
There's Windows! A 1gb Cloud VPS is only USD$8.50 or so after the 15% recurring discount. Fiver more if you wanted 100mbs uplink. Windows is free!!! xD I ended buying one. Still haven't finished doing necessary updates yet. But it sure beats, hopefully, the stuff one gets from lowendbox... Link to comment
