Ugnaughts are small porcine humanoids, seen as neutral NPCs in Jedi Outcast.

Personality[edit]

Ugnaughts are a species of small creatures, native to the planet of Gentes, who usually serve as technicians on various industrial establishments. Usually united into groups, they would act as one if a stranger tried to enter their domain.

These aliens were often seen working in the Cloud City on Bespin. When Han Solo and Leia Organa arrived there to repair their ship, their friend, a protocol droid C-3PO disappeared. Chewbacca would later find the droid in the junkyard, owned by a group of ugnaughts, infuriated by wookie's intrusion.

Appearances[edit]

In JO[edit]

Several Ugnaughts are present on Bespin, when Kyle Katarn arrives there to stop the mercenaries, as well as the Imperials. The humanoids would be ignored by occupying forces, and in most times they would simply continue their work.

In other stories[edit]

Ugnaughts are one of the neutral NPCs in Dark Forces II, where they are seen working on the fuel station outside Barons Hed on Sulon. They look different there though: they wear yellow costumes and have dark skin. In all cases ugnaughts are absolutely harmless and walk around the area, sometimes getting into the fights between the Imperials and Kyle Katarn. They return in Mysteries of the Sith, where they are some of the guests at Ka'Pa the Hutt's Palace.

Ugnaughts also return in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (as seen in the cutscenes on Bespin), as well as Star Wars: The Old Republic, where the Player can find them working in the lower parts of Coruscant.

Behind the scenes[edit]

Ugnaughts are one of the smaller models in JO and JA, in latter case they only appear in MP. In one of their hands they can carry a technical tool - which is actually part of the model and can't be given to other characters in game. Even though this NPC is neutral, Kyle has to use Force powers to persuade one Ugnaught in Bespin to switch off the incinerator room in order to get to the next level. It is possible to kill Ugnaughts in JO without any Dark Side consequences.

In JO and JA ugnaughts have no custom sounds.
