Enter the Dark Lord is a Single Player modification for Jedi Academy. While not fully finished the mod allows you to play as Darth Vader during a raid on a Rebel base.
Story[edit]
The mod starts with a cutscene, where an Imperial officer (presumably General Mohc from the Dark Forces video game) enters Vader's chambers and informs him of arriving close enough to begin the attack on a hidden Rebel base. The dark lord then allows the Imperial troops begin their landing, while he joins their forces soon afterwards. While the Rebels are eager to fight off the enemy, the base turns into a graveyard, as Darth Vader walks through its corridors and rooms.
Gameplay[edit]
One of the specifics of the mod is that as Darth Vader one can command the Imperial forces, allowing the stormtroopers to follow you or secure a certain area.
Behind the scenes[edit]
The mod was created by Anthony Piggott, who was known for releasing several projects for earlier installments of JK series: Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, Mysteries of the Sith and Jedi Outcast. According to the author, he spent around 50-80 hours a week on the project, working on scripts, textures, models, animations and other aspects, but wasn't able to finish it (even though it was probably about 75% complete). Enter the Dark Lord was most likely the last mod Anthony Piggott released for the community.
Dan Kapphahn provided the voices for the characters, as well the General Mohc player model itself.
