'''''Syndicate: Initiation''''' is a Single Player modification for [[Jedi Academy]], created by Lassev (Lasse Vääriskoski) with the assistance from several fans and modders. While being close to the original JK series in terms of gameplay, the mod itself introduced a variety of mind-blowing puzzles and level design techniques.

The level was originally meant to be a puzzle technique showcase map, but in time it turned out to be released as a SP modification. According to Lassev this level was his entry into the massassi.net SP level contest.

==Story==
The mod tells the story of a new character – a student from the Jedi Academy of [[Luke Skywalker]], who is sent to investigate an old tomb/temple on a desert planet. The mission is concurrent with the events around the Cult of Ragnos against the Jedi Academy, so upon the arrival the Jedi encounters several Force wielders from this organisation. The tomb itself is filled with puzzles and deadly traps.

==General overview==
The mod includes a medium-sized map, which starts with a night canyon with several enemies there. The entrance to the tomb itself is a minor puzzle, which then opens a larger hall with several more riddles to solve in order to continue the quest. The next areas reveal the plot around a group of people, who observe the process from afar while making their own plot. As the author put it – "if you do not like hard puzzles but prefer blood and hard action, this level may be ill suited for you".

It is highly recommended not to use NOCLIP cheat on this level.

==Content==
Lassev specifically mentioned, that the mod was released because of the collaboration between multiple creators, who helped him in various aspects. The original content includes the map 'puzzler', various materials (like sounds and textures), new models (modified Raven remote droid) and skins (Syndicate Saboteur) as well as a few additional files.

The mod also includes third party components:
