'''Survival Mod''' is a Single Player modification for [[Jedi Outcast]], created by IZaNaGI in 2003. It was succeeded by a prequel [[Survival Mod 2: Revenge Of The Droids]] in 2004.

==Story==
Two characters – IZaNaGI and IZaNaMI are on the run from both Dark and Light sides of the Force, when they stumble upon an ancient moon, which they decide to use for a temporary stop. Unfortunately after only what seems to be moments of rest, they hear Remnant troops scouting nearby.

After fleeing the area the two decide to hide in an abandoned temple. Entering the temple the huge stone doors close's behind them, trapping the duo. At this point they come across [[Boba Fett|one very specific and dangerous enemy]]...

==Gameplay==
The main goal is to survive the wave after wave of enemies and other surprises. There are over 80 enemies over roughly 17-18 waves in a large open arena. A second character – ronin Jedi IZaNaMI (Based upon the idea of a girlfriend of the author called Nikki) assists the Player during these fights.

* New music: Sample from Linkin Park, Papercut found on the Reanimation album
* New character AI: A rework of the NPC's file
* New scripts: Very basic scripting.

==Behind the scenes==
The mod'd been in development for 2 months and was the first project, created by IZaNaGI for Jedi Knight 2. Based upon characters the author'd created for their personal Star Wars stories – IZaNaGI is a ronin (Outcast) Jedi on the run from both the Light and Dark sides of the Force.

IZaNaGI rehauled the Main menu, adding a Sith feel to it. The AI of most characters was also changed. Reborns have different saber colours depending on their class. 

New music "Sample" of PaperCut by Linkin Park was used in the mod.
