Rax Joris is one of the minor villains in Jedi Academy, leading a group of Imperials on the planet of Dosuun.
Personality
Rax Joris was a corpulent unshaved Imperial officer in dirty uniform, native from the planet of Dosuun. After the battle of Endor, he continued to serve the remnants of the Galactic Empire. This was one of the reasons, why Rax Joris established a prison on the planet to keep the enemies away. The other reason was more likely a sadistic one – he simply enjoyed watching the captives try to escape (when allowed) from the complex, only to see them killed in the final stage of his trap path.
Appearances
In Jedi Academy
From time to time Rax would keep captives there and see if they could escape the location, but in most cases the victims failed and were killed. Jaden Korr was also a prisoner of this Dosuun base, while investigating the Disciples of Ragnos activities for the Jedi Order. Surrounded by a group of saboteurs, the Jedi had to surrender and later was allowed to escape from his cell. His lightsaber, however, was taken by Rax, who tried to stop the Jedi and kill him with a concussion rifle. However Jaden managed to reach the platform and neutralize the Imperial for good.
Behing the scenes
Rax Joris is the second corpulent character in Jedi Knight 3 series, with Reelo Baruk being the first one.
