Boba Fett is one of the villains in several Star Wars movies, as well as in the whole franchise. He appears as a intermissions boss in Jedi Academy.
Personality
Boba Fett was born and raised by his father Jango, also a bounty hunter, on the planet of Kamino. Fett the elder was used by count Dooku as the prime subject for future clones after he passed several tests in eliminating the dangerous extremist clan. The clones were created, based on the DNA of Jango Fett, but altered identities and growing time. As a reward he would ask the Kaminoans to create an unaltered clone for himself - a son, who would continue his lineage.
Chased by a Jedi Obi Wan Kenobi Jango and Boba would hide on Geonosis, a planet in league with the separatists. When a large battle erupted between the Republic and the separatists, Jango was killed in a duel against the Jedi Mace Windu. Boba witnessed his father's death at the arena and would develop a strong hatred towards all Jedi knights, spending the next years of his life almost alone. He would be spotted occasionally during the Clone Wars, sometimes assisted by Aurra Sing and Bossk in some missions.
By the time of Battle for Yavin IV, Boba would be working for Jabba the Hutt and wear a Mandalorian helmet - just like his father - at all times. During this time however he would take some tasks from the Empire as well, such as tracking down Millennium Falcon. Some time later he would assist Darth vader in capturing the Rebels on Bespin, and as part of his assignment he takes Han Solo, frozen in carbonite, to his employer Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine.
Year later Luke Skywalker would come to Tatooine to save Han, and during the execution ceremony Boba would try ti kill Luke, however his jetpack would be jammed and the bounty hunter fell into the maw of the ferocious Sarlacc in the Dune Sea.
While many believed Boba Fett died that day, he eventually made his way out of the beast and continue his career as a bounty hunter.
Appearances
In JA
Boba Fett is encountered by Jaden Korr, a Jedi on a mission to Ord Mantell to destroy the old stocks of ammo and weapons in the abandoned city. The bounty hunter would try to stop the Jedi using his blaster and jetpack, often halting the Force attacks with his flamethrower. Upon the destruction of weapons, Jaden would defeat Fett, making the bounty hunter leave the battle, regretting, there was no bounty on a Jedi.
In other stories
Boba Fett proved to be a favorite villain among fans. For many years many people guessed, who was truly behind the mask, but the face wasn't revealed until the release of Episode II. Before that many authors were given orders not to use Boba Fett in any of the novels, as Lucasarts had some special plans on him. However he did appear in a few titles, such as Dark Forces I and Shadows of the Empire.
Behind the scenes
Boba Fett is a unique NPC in the JA - he uses a jetpack to move around the Ord Mantell ruins and aside from E-11 blaster, he also uses a flame-thrower - a weapon, available to Boba Fett class characters only. He is also coded to be invincible, thus the Player can't kill him in game. While the NPC file includes his "Force abilities", the class converts these into his special weapon.
