The lightsaber is the signature weapon of the Jedi Knight Series. It is a a melee weapon which can be used to attack in close range, deflect most projectiles and can be thrown with the force.
There are three types of lightsabers
- Single Saber
- Staff (Also known as Two-Handed-Saber)
- Dual Sabers (Technically two single sabers, but functionally a different type of saber.
Availability
In JK2, only single saber was available, and was unlocked after the first few missions in single player. In JKA, you start with only a single saber with only yellow stance, and later unlock more stances and may switch it out for a staff or duals sabers.
