Raven Software is a video game design company based out of Middleton, Wisconsin formed in 1990 and the creator of Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy.

Role in JKA

Raven Software was approached by LucusArts to create a sequel to Jedi Outcast. The company set a one year developing cycle for the game, and got the game done within this period. They also allowed for the game to be modified by providing modding tools such as Jedi Academy SDK. They also provided files to run dedicated servers for the multiplayer system, but it has been discontinued.
