The Laming Rule

The laming rule is one of the most common server rules in JK2. The rule is applied differently on each server due to how server administrators interperts the laming rule.

The Rule

Taken from the JAWA website.

Laming is attacking another person unarmed or chatting, laming back is still considered laming and you will be dealt with the same as the offender. Remember admins do not have eyes everywhere so if someone lamed you, please report it with /amsay theirname e.g. "/amsay Padawan lamed me" and a admin will follow that person. Abusing the admin chat system will result in a silence.

If you're in a duel, your chat box is up and you are attacked then it is indeed considered laming. However if your saber is down and your chat is off, it is not considered laming. Entering a duel means you're fighting to the death so you must be prepared at all times.

If you accept to duel and you get attacked straight away as in as soon as the bow is over, then that is considered laming as well.

If you're putting your saber down and someone happens to attack you AS you're putting it away, then it is your fault and it is not considered laming since that player was attacking you whilst you had your saber up.

Controversy

Alot of people believe that the laming rule is wrong. Making JKA unique in being one of the few FFA games in which you can not freely kill people.

History

The laming rule was coined and used first by Shroomduck of JK2.
