| ESL is a European organization in which players from around the world link together and compete on a "play to win" basis. Although involved in numerous games, the ESL presence in JKA gave the game major attention, and for a short bit, created a reason for new players to download the game. However, the ideas that ESL brought along soon came into conflict with the relaxed nature of many players; specifically communities running the popular mod: [[JA+]]. This tension has caused numerous clashes in the community, and it still remains a sensitive issue.
