| The mod follows the events in Prison_Escape project, when [[Kyle Katarn]] is sent to infiltrate Galtech's HQ to investigate their connections with the Imperial Remnant forces. This would require the Jedi to travel to a distant planet in the Outer Rim, "with an archaic culture and powerful overlords". On his way to unveil the truth Kyle meets multiple local citizens, which sometimes provide valuable information.

| While the game retains most of the original specifics, Occupation also introduces some RPG and quest-like elements, interaction with various NPCs in the small town being one of them. Talking to other NPCs with a lightsaber drawn can actually frighten them however. In other cases such discussions with (mostly) friendly NPCs can provide information and help. During such talks the Player can still be attacked by the enemies though.

| The mod includes a lot of cutscenes, over 10MB of voice acting, altered NPC characteristics and a custom skin for Kyle Katarn (Stealth Jedi Gear skin by HapSlash), as well as a custom-made menu.
