| After being defeated by [[Kyle Katarn]], Tavion acquired the [[Scepter of Ragnos]], the weapon of the Sith Lord Marka Ragnos, from a collector on Commenor. With the scepter, Tavion had the power to siphon Force energy from places and locations strong in the Force, which she used to imbue her new [[Cultist]] followers with the stolen dark side energy. But more importantly, her goal was to gather enough energy to resurrect Marka Ragnos himself, who was buried for five thousand years on the Sith homeworld of [[Korriban]].

| Besides the Cultists, part of her ever growing number of dark side followers were the remaining [[Reborn]], followers of Tavion's former master [[Desann]] who had been defeated years prior at the hands of Kyle Katarn. Under Tavion's leadership, these [[New Reborn]] were more experienced and capable members, and were often deployed on important missions for the Sith cult.
