The ban command is a usable command in JKA in which an administrator can ban a selected IP address to prevent that user from entering the server

The command is often used to get rid of unwanted player who have been repeated offenders on the server. The command uses the IP address of that player and adds it to an "banlist", which contains IP address that have been blacklisted on the server. While in use, any IP that is on that list is blocked from use on the server, therefore anyone using that said IP is unable to connect
