Description

Alora was a red Twi'lek who served under Tavion as her dark apprentice. Strong in the Force, she assisted her master in several missions throughout the galaxy, from Yavin 4 to Hoth and Taspir III. Over time she became strong in the dark side of the Force, being able to confront Jaden Korr twice. She was a commander of the Disciples of Ragnos, an organization created and led by Tavion to resurrect the ancient Sith Lord Marka Ragnos on Korriban.

Appearances

In Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Alora is first seen at the start of Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, where she infiltrates the Jedi Academy on Yavin 4 in order to steal data from Luke Skywalker's journals. A diversion takes place not far - when Tavion uses Ragnos' scepter to damage the arriving starship with new Jedi students, which is used by Alora in order to sneak into Skywalker's quarters and steal the data on the locations with a strong connection to the Force.

A new prominent Jedi student Jaden Korr is later sent on a mission to Hoth, where the Disciples of Ragnos take control of Echo Base and try to establish an outpost with the Empire Reborn. As the Jedi makes way into the once abandoned Rebel base, it is revealed that Alora leads the group of cultists and snowtroopers. While she engages Jaden in a duel, she proves to be a match for the Jedi and escapes the empty base before being caught.

Alora is seen again much later, when the crisis with the cult reaches its peak - Jaden and Kyle Katarn go on a mission to Taspir III to save Rosh Penin, who previously disappeared and later joined the cultists in their attempt to revive Marka Ragnos. Jaden hesitates whether to trust the former friend at first, but eventually turns off the lightsaber. This is the moment when Alora attacks both of them, cutting off Rosh's arm in the process. Although her powers have increased since their last duel, this time Jaden proves to be a much more skillful warrior.

Alternate ending

If the player chooses the dark side on Taspir III and kills Rosh Penin, a duel with Alora will still take place, however with different dialogue.

Behind the scenes

Alora concept art.

Alora is one of a few NPC characters in Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy that have two skins for the single player campaign. However, due to an oversight, her second skin ended up unused. Among all the NPCs, she is the only one with an unique animation when she uses Force Jump.

Alora is voiced by Grey DeLisle, a voice actress involved in many other Star Wars projects such as the Clone Wars micro-series (Asajj Ventress, Padmé Amidala, Shaak Ti) and Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords (Brianna the Handmaiden, Lonna Vash).
