| Raven Software was approached by LucusArts to create a sequel to Jedi Outcast. The company set a one year developing cycle for the game, and got the game done within this period. They also allowed for the game to be modified by providing modding tools such as [[Jedi Academy]] SDK. They also provided files to run dedicated servers for the [[multiplayer]] system, but it has been discontinued.
