Client-side refers to anything that the player uses to play the game. Traditionally the games are launched by the jasp.exe or jamp.exe but Mods such as OpenJK, EternalJK, JA+, MBII and other significant game mods are typically used by players to enhance their gaming experience in various ways. Client-side mods for multiplayer usually have a Server-side version to complement the feature set they bring. For some clients, a server version is not necessary, and vice versa, but some large overhaul mods like MBII do require both.
