  1. Self sp modding has limitations. Do I have to learn to make map and shaders?

      If you want new maps then yeah. Shaders just enhance textures. As far as I know. I just did animations and saber file modding and have fun in sp. 

  2. Are there any stats on how many copies of JKO/JKA have been sold?

      I have two copies of JA! One as a day 1 purchase and the other I got before leaving for the Navy. Picked it up so I'd have a back up if mine broke. Still sealed up.

  3. Kyle's Running speed in Dark Forces is ridiculously fast. It's like he's got Force Speed already. XD

      I remember JK and MotS having ridiculously fast running. Heck I think JO and JA are too fast. I use g_speed 200 to slow down a bit. 250 is default.

      Then I bound 500 to a key so I could have JK speed running to get across long maps!

      Found my older tutorial on how to get animations onto a model.

       

      Here is how I did it for my Galen backhand animations.

      1a. Have the _humanoid.gla and animation.cfg that you want to use

      1b. Have the playermodel you want to use.

      2. make a new set of folders in the playermodels folders following this path

      models/players/_humanoid_dbgalen

      3. Put the _humanoid.gla, animation.cfg, and animevents.cfg in the new _humanoid_dbgalen folder.

      4. Use the hex ed...

      You might have to wait till I can look at my mod again. I think you are referencing the path incorrectly. I'd say pull out my animations and rename then. The go about changing the path with your new name.

      That link format works fine here.

      So you took your model and changed the file path to my db_galen model. That's not going to work. You'll have to change the animation path.

      If you open my backhand animations with the npc DB_Galen you can open him with HxD and see what I did.

      I'll have to get you the tutorial later. I have it saved on a thumb drive that I don't have on me right now.

      Basically find where it says _humanoid/_humanoid and change it to _humanoid/_humanoid_model'sNameHere

      I checked my main thumb drive and it wasn't there. I still have it, it just means it's on my laptop. I haven't turned that thing on in about 4 months. I'll try and get them.

      I actually made all the dark jedi stances from DF2. I didn't want to remake all those saber animations because I feel that would be a step backwards in the saber combat. I worked on and made an alpha of the heavy swing. It was early on and I realized it would be easier to just use two of Desann's swings together to get the attack. Sadly the MotS mod stopped making progress so I never made more.

  21. In Jedi Academy SP, is it possible to have slowmotion on death of enemy jedis and dodging of enemy jedis but not on death of normal enemies?

      Yeah that's what it is by default. Only saber wielding enemies and dodging sniper shots do the slowmo and pan shot.
