    I'm glad, that the new builds remove certain limitations in game. Previously I had problem with a number of NPCs and a number of skins loaded per map in SP, and at a certain point together with this issue, the game would report "max_gamestate_chars exceeded" – a problem which isn't that often on complex maps, if a new build is installed.

    Tie Shuttle

    I always wondered about this ship in the film, somehow it looked not like a TIE bomber, yet I couldn't link it to the scene, that followed the space sequence. There is a channel by EC Henry about barely seen models in Star Wars films, which also introduces the TIE shuttle as well. You can watch it here.

    Perhaps this channel could serve as inspiration for new ships in the future. 😉

    The model has a nice mysterious look as if from some Legends or Myths, yet fits into Star Wars perfectly too!

    If not for the most likely pre-existing background, I would assume, this is some sort of a Sith scout/apprentice, who acts as a true shadow. Maybe from the days of the Old Republic. 

    Classic Reborn NPCs

    Jedi Outcast Reborns are such memorable opponents. I recall launching JO Multiplayer while I were still on Nar Shaddaa in SP, and their avatar draw my attention immediately. I loved the design fromthe moment I met one eventually on Bespin and learning later on, that Reborn had classes and different robes.

    In any case this particular hood is what I like about them the most. Not just me, but many JO fans too, as we got plenty of reskins in years after the game's release. And if you remember Dark Jedi from KOTOR series, you would be right to assume, that this design is a great homage towards the classic aesthetics of Star Wars.

    Aliens

    Funny, but I do remember reading about the Nordic guys. Described as intelligent and wise kind of aliens, not bothered with aggression, but rather relying on technology and common sense.

    I actually came across the above mentioned issue within OpenJK, not just JA, JO. I made my own map for a separate mod, but using OpenJK as a base, I\m still looking into this.

  2. Thanks for posting this mod! In fact, it's quite helpful in terms of understanding some JA limits with FX and entities. As I experimented with these on my own maps, I came to an interesting conclusion, that mines' lasers don't like too many other FX. I tried to place 2 EWEB turrets on a map and for some reasons the tripmines didn't like being the first to lose the effect (probe droids being the second after them exploding without explosion FX). There were other specifics too, but in any case that wasn't normal to have only 2 tripmines in one base with two turrets.

  3. This one would make a perfect version of some mutant Rodian created by Techno Union scientists, like in the Clone Wars episode of Tartakovsky series. Perhaps using a Wampa skeleton would make this guy look (and feel) slightly more comfortable? 😆

    These are absolutely amazing! It would be stupid to say, that "we've seen everything in JA", but this is by far one of the most unusual models ever created for JO/JA modding lore! I would definitely like to see more of this style, as it looks peculiar, out of the boundaries and – undoubtedly beautiful.

    I already feel, that this organic carnival of the Force would be most welcomed here and surely deserves a story of its own, either as a backstory or even a Single Player mod. 

    Horizons of Taris

    This is legendary. Besides being of great design, the map found its way into other mods, working as a hub in SWG (if I'm correct, it's been long ago for me))), and it would be no wonder, that a lot fan-made stories took place on Taris, with this map in mind. 

    Olympus

    I'm not much into MP, but the design – is what truly important to me. I like the Antique look of this map, and even though it's very simple in design – it's remarkable for its pure form and feel. I hope, you make more like this – for example the interior of Pantheon in Rome! It's quite large and has some peculiar niches and details, while the area is quite large to become an FFA or perhaps a Duel map.

  4. If this were a SP map, I would make a trigger and a script, that causes the map to shake, when the Player uses a blaster outside. Perhaps this is possible for MP as well.

    It would be logical to add a horizontal cylinder with the worms intestines, slightly visible in the dark. The fog could be replaced with a circle 9instead of a square) + JK has the FX fog as well, which could be added into the map in GtkRadiant. For the sake of fun – I would add the teeth at the distance, which would open and close from time to time.

    In any case, a nice start. Hope some of these suggestions would help!

  5. This was probably one of the first mods I tried back in 2000s. Well, 'Nine rooms' was perhaps the very first, but after that I tried these, that were available on various CDs to PC games magazines. Simple, yet so much fun – these small projects are indeed remarkable for their author's passion and so much soul deep inside these short stories.
