Just gonna say it, I don't like Net radiant or Net custom.. There, I said it. I'll stick with old 1.5 that gets the job done without crashing, freezing during saves and unloading my folders during saves. I don't want to map in blender, if it ant done in gtk it ant real mapping... Maybe I sound like an old fart on that but all of the new crud is just broken, hacky, unnecessarily filled with lazy tools that just break half the time. Beginning to understand why so many just stick with modifying vanila, it's just to much. I shouldn't have to sit here 20 years down the road and learn a whole new program college kids are learning just to make a darn texture, gimme photoshop and lets go. This substance designer is just nope for me, taking all day to make ONE texture, nah thank you.
I was really wanting to get into rend2 and do some work with it, but I get why no one switched now, it's just too damn much, even modern games don't require this much work around. I can pop in ut5 and in a day make an entire world and this its like ah 1 texture at a time has to be REDESIGNED with all sort of weird sorcery and the blood of the innocent just to make it work.
I dnk maybe I'm just frustrated and old and dont wanna learn new crap, but to be honest I think I was doing just fine without it. If that makes me a B rated mapper, so be it. I outshine those I wanted to outshine years ago, got nothing left to prove.-
I prefer GtkRadiant when it comes to building and creating a map. Mostly for the tools and certain capabilities, but I use NetRadiant (the orange one) for fixing some aspects later. For example if I need a more complex landscape – I use both editors for this. Or rotating an object more freely. As for Substance painter – I usually use it for partial texturing, later adding all the details in PS. In any case combining methods is better, but is most likely best to work the way you feel comfortable.
Honestly, I use 2-3 programs for making models for NPCs and props

I do somewhat feel sad, at how the internet has changed. No longer do most people use forums, now it is all on discord. If you want status updates on mods, most of it will be on the discord servers.
Things in the world have changed so much, but I'm glad to see this community is still here. I do believe the JKA community needs one more mod. A mod that is based around Base JKA, and works to preserve as many of it's maps, models, and other content as best as possible. To preserve it's content for future generations who stumble upon this game, they should have a mod with all it's content ready to go. Only mod I know that comes close to that is KoTF 2.1 by Fire Phoenix (galactic legacy is focusing more on only star wars now).-
Discord is for PM for me for the most part, but I like browsing forums. And they are definitely better than most of the social networks, which require a lot more from you. While forums (for me) are a place to get the info more directly without all the popularity mechanics and likes/dislikes, views count, etc. which are common for other platforms.

Well, this is neat! Look who's made an appearance on Galaxy of Heroes!

Just a thought: what happened to the last Reborn in the end of JO? In a cutscene he is escorted by a Jedi Trainer, but is he accepted into the Academy or sent to prison?
-
The Mandalorian is the best thing since ROTS in the story of Star Wars. Hope Disney learnt a lesson and hope everything will be directed by Mr. Filoni and Favreau.
-
Did anyone work with EffectsEd? Can't figure out some things.

What's your native language?

So, do any of you guys miss the 90's?

Is The Last Jedi really that bad? I enjoyed it, scratching my head at all the hatred.

I really do hope Snoke has some connection to Plagueis. It would connect the new trilogy to the ominous reference Palpatine made to Skywalker about his former master. In other words, the circle would now be complete...!
-
It would drastically minimize the significance of the OT events. Thus all that happened there wouldn't matter at all. So Snoke is most likely a very different person. I do believe, that he came to the Galaxy right after Episode VI and took over of what was left of the Empire, as this form of dictatorship served well his nature of a Force parasite.

While Youtube is testing the new design, you can watch the muted videos with sound for now.

Guess, that EA BF2 will become my new JKA love? Nah JKA is the best

I remember why I stopped mapping years ago. Radiant must be among the most user unfriendly Softwares on this planet.

Who would think, that there is an actual Senator from Taris in Rogue One. The other two in The Clone Wars & The Force Awakens (atlas).

Saw The Last Jedi trailer It will be so cool, just please dont kill Luke

I guess, TLJ can look like TESB in some ways, it would be ok. We know for now, that there will be a betrayal, First Order would be shown the way we see the Empire – retaliating enemies for the former failure. But also a lot of new things. I see one strong similarity aside from all these: TLJ would be using old concepts for some characters, places and ships, created originally in 1970s (these are already known))).

Are you kidding me?! Too much CGI, too much ripping off ESB and lack of imagination that's even worse than TFA!! Will see the final movie, but no big dreams now.
-
Watching the Celebration. Let's see what they've got in stock for us this time.
-
Having watched The Force Unleashed on other platforms, I must say it's a very different game! There are dozens of citizens seen on Bespin and you even meet a Gungan Bounty Hunter to kill!
-
Well, I personally played only the PC version, and I always felt, it lacks something. As if something is missing. Having looked through concepts, articles, story descriptions, I see now, that my version is a short and dull one, to tell the truth. In one if the videos the Player throws away various Cloud City citizens, while also meeting Lobot after that.

There is a theory, how Luke's lightsaber ended in Maz Kanata's hands. But I thought, the hilt was actually sucked away from the City and into the clouds and gas of Bespin... Thoughts?

Well, the article I've read claims, Lando eventually found the saber on Bespin (when retaking it) and took it. As a theory from the authors – he then wanted to present to Han and Leia, actually for their newborn son (why not return to Luke?), but it ended that he passed it to Maz (who was a friend of his and Han). I thought, the story far more interesting! And I hope it will. For now I am more satisfied with jar Jar Binks ultimate fate more than with this theory...

My god, can people please stop posting so many "official" leaks surrounding TLJ on YouTube?! It's flooded with rubbish... so much so that even if a real leak happened we wouldn't know...
