Holy cow, he's even got the UI changes I made 13 years ago. https://github.com/OpenJediProject/OJP/tree/master/ojpenhanced/ui

  2. Existential question: when you join a jka server, there is "Welcome player n°XXXXXXXXXX!" on the loading screen. What is this number ?

  3. Is it a bug or a feature ? When I'm not logged in jkhub, I see the new wallpaper (from mp/duel8). When I am logged, I get the old wallpaper from t3_bounty :-)

The only time it doesnt change is if you manually set it at some point. Otherwise it would have changed for you automatically. The old theme is still there, too.

  4. I'm trying to set up a semi authentic MBII server, but it seems that this gamemod is bugged and unsupported in 1.4.1. I cannot not select any character when joining. I just see the class selection menu, but there are no characters. I am just blocked in spectator mode and cannot play.

      @Ramikad

As far as I've been aware, semi authentic was never implemented, so there was nothing for the jedi to take ovah. But if it had been, the jedi would have taken it ovah.

Semi-Authentic WAS implemented in the previous versions of MBII ^^ I remember I played on some semi-authentic servers with the 0.1.8 and 0.1.9 versions :-)

I told you we'd come to this! I was right! The Jedi have taken ovah!

  5. Now, Linux works. Next step : make JKA working (with OpenJK linux). How to open the console ? The small 2 (azerty) doesn't work. And where is located the openjk.cfg ???

On a Azerty French Keyboard, we use the small 2 (²) which is on the top left of the keyboard (with JKA on windows). And strangely, this button is not recognized with OpenJK Linux ^^

Fixed ! I have selected the wrong keyboard config when I installed Linux ("obsolet french" in place of just "french")

      The console works now !

Wow, can't say I've ever encountered that one before... Good to hear you've found a way to fix it. ^_^

  6. I live a very amazing Kotor experience. It is the first time I play the game (I had the CD game but my old computer wasnt enough powerful and I had a lot of bugs). I say amazing because I first visited a large part of Kotor maps with JKA, and now I see the real original maps. The Ahto City is very beautiful and bigger than the JKA version. It is a real pleasure to just walk in the streets and watch the ocean. The music is very nice too.

What do you want to mean ? Lack of time or losing the Game CD ?

He means playing the game for the first time.

It could be nice if someone update the Ahto City map : There is already a Ahto City here : http://www.moddb.com/games/star-wars-jedi-academy/addons/ahto-city to add the central room with the view on the ocean.

  7. After years playing on Dantooine maps with JKA, Battlefront and other mods, I visited today for the first time the original Dantooine of KOTOR. It was... very amazing. It was like meeting G.Lucas.

I agree. It feels strange for me. I have visited a lot of maps from Kotor on JKA, and now I see the real original versions.

I've always found it fascinating -- in a good way -- how many people have chosen to spend so much of their time bringing KOTOR faithfully to JKA. It's an interesting homage. But yes, there's nothing like the original, and you don't know it till you really experience it firsthand. ^_^

Be sure to install my Sith Academy Robes mod before heading for Korriban. It'll make the experience even more immersive. It changes nothing gameplay-wise, but makes the Sith wear genuine Sith robes instead of officer uniforms.

  8. Now I have a new computer, I can play Kotor (cd) ! Is there a way to fix the loading bug ? I cannot load my saves, except the auto-save...

Actually the line is "Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1" (without quotes), and you have to add it (and enable it) under "[Graphics Options]", not disable/remove it.

I thank you for your help. Actually, the intel chipset seems to work and I think that a recent i7 is enough efficient to run Kotor without the help of the nvidia card.

I have just put the disablebufferobjects in my .ini and I will try with the nvidia again. I don't think I need to enable the XP compatibility mod because I put Kotor in a "non protected" folder of the hard drive.

If I have problems, I will use your .ini, Cerez. Thank you :-)
