  1. My sentiment is, and I presume the sentiment of others is, is that it would be great if you could take the time to learn how to do even a simple thing such as NPC modding. In my opinion, when people take the initiative like this, they are demonstrating that they care enough about the game to make new/different content. I like to see other people that care, personally, and I wouldn't want to see my efforts go into one person's 2-5 hours of enjoyment. I like to maximize my reach however I can.

Also, I don't think people want to spend time making something as simple as this? I dunno, there's some people that might take up the request, it just isn't really my cup of tea personally.

Hey eez, you probably shouldn't venture into the Mod Requests & Suggestion forum too often if you get like this with people's requests. :P

It's a valid request. Not everyone wants to get into modding and that's perfectly understandable.

  2. *My Very Un-Educated Opinion*

Alpha map those damn buckles, optimize the tris in the furlows. Delete the bottom depth of the belts as they will not be seen, and spend those saved verts back on the arm and leg wraps. Also, the chest armor, doesnt have that sharp point near the front on the neckring portion does it? It's more flush with the armor

I say *My Very Un-Educated Opinion* because you taught me 97.4% of what I know about modelling, and I'm sure itll turn out fine. but my opinion is like a firey burp locked inside me and I just combust if I dont let one out every now and again.

Screw it I'm resurrecting my SK tonight... Master vs Apprentice >=)

You're prolly gunna blow mine out the water... If so.. may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your balls.

    That'll do.

  3. I understand what you're getting at. I always get annoyed when people say that to me as well. This is the request section after all.

I might think about doing it since it's incredibly simple.

That being said, they are right that it's the easiest thing to do in modding. Don't be daunted by the word and concept of modding, a lot of it is very simple. In this case, it's a matter of combining said models into one folder and renaming some lines in their NPC text files. If you ever want to start getting your feet wet in modding, it's a great way to.

  4. Use the command "cam_disable" to disable the cinematic camera. Then you can kill all the NPC's and use the map for whatever you want. I do it all the time because the Academy cinematic level is very wide open and fun for lightsaber battles with NPC's.

Then type "cam_enable" to reenable the cutscene. I have them bound to keys because I use it so much.

This is only for SP though.

  5. I love SP because I think the gameplay is a lot more smooth than in MP. I also didn't have internet when I first got both JO and JA and so SP was awesome. I'm a huge Star Wars nerd and it's probably the most fun Star Wars game to play. Sure, JA's storyline sucks but it's still fun. The storyline mods are my favorite, other than gameplay tweaks. There are some crazy cool SP levels that people have made that are awesome. I wish people still made them. Ones like the Dark Forces mod just simply amaze me. I always wished to be able to make one of those kinds of mods.

Sometimes I just load up a map from the Star Wars movies and try to recreate a scene or just mess around and spawn a bunch of enemies how I want and go through it. It's pretty fun and not something I can do in other Star Wars games.

I too can't wait for SP code mods. Hopefully some hardcore SP players will be making a couple of them so they know what should be fixed, tweaked, or added. It seems most of the coders are focusing on MP.
