Yes but it's no surprise. It's the way of life. You can't expect a video game to flourish forever. It's actually a miracle that it's staying afloat right now, with the source code released and all.True. It's a great shame the JA community isn't what it used to be.

Dropbox does wonders.I'm pretty sure I have the outpost missions, but once again need an upload place.
I got most of the sp levels for jo and ja.
-
Yeah but that would take even more time, and that's not really something the JA community has anymore. Or ever did for that matter. It really wouldn't be worth it.If only someone could try it again and do it right. That would be awesome.

It's hard to tell in that pic. Maybe?
Could you post your textures for the skin?

Star Wars Episode VII: Shadows of the Sith?
Huh?
Underworld sounds like an epic game. Probably was going to revolve around Black Sun or something.

I'd also like to know this. There are many interpretations out there that I've heard over the years but not one official explanation.

I agree it was a great idea. He went about it wrong.

It's alright, I was just informing you so you wouldn't make the same mistake.Alright, I have done so and sorry for putting in wrong section

It looks very low-res to me. Maybe it's your graphics settings or something, but everything looks washed out compared to the blaster he's holding and even the patch on his shoulder.

It actually seems more like a KOTOR mod rather than a TOR mod. The skins he wants to use are more KOTOR-esque.
-
I'm pretty sure he's talking about just one mini mod that just changes the FX, not a whole big conversion.
This one has what you want in it I believe but it also has all the other effects boosted to the max. Those could be removed however to leave you with the saber sparks.

My sentiment is, and I presume the sentiment of others is, is that it would be great if you could take the time to learn how to do even a simple thing such as NPC modding. In my opinion, when people take the initiative like this, they are demonstrating that they care enough about the game to make new/different content. I like to see other people that care, personally, and I wouldn't want to see my efforts go into one person's 2-5 hours of enjoyment. I like to maximize my reach however I can.
Also, I don't think people want to spend time making something as simple as this? I dunno, there's some people that might take up the request, it just isn't really my cup of tea personally.
Hey eez, you probably shouldn't venture into the Mod Requests & Suggestion forum too often if you get like this with people's requests.
It's a valid request. Not everyone wants to get into modding and that's perfectly understandable.

The skin file is the easiest way to do this. Don't bother with the other said methods.
Also, this is the wrong section for this topic. It should be in the Modding Assistance section. Just letting you know for future topics you make.

*My Very Un-Educated Opinion*
Alpha map those damn buckles, optimize the tris in the furlows. Delete the bottom depth of the belts as they will not be seen, and spend those saved verts back on the arm and leg wraps. Also, the chest armor, doesnt have that sharp point near the front on the neckring portion does it? It's more flush with the armor
I say *My Very Un-Educated Opinion* because you taught me 97.4% of what I know about modelling, and I'm sure itll turn out fine. but my opinion is like a firey burp locked inside me and I just combust if I dont let one out every now and again.
Screw it I'm resurrecting my SK tonight... Master vs Apprentice >=)
You're prolly gunna blow mine out the water... If so.. may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your balls.
That'll do.

What's the script command?Umm, all I know is there is a script command to set the player's skin to the hoth set. If you disable it:
Your character's skin doesn't glitch. I don't know if the code you posted is actually used by the game or if the script calls it or what. Either way, it can be disabled in the script.

I understand what you're getting at. I always get annoyed when people say that to me as well. This is the request section after all.
I might think about doing it since it's incredibly simple.
That being said, they are right that it's the easiest thing to do in modding. Don't be daunted by the word and concept of modding, a lot of it is very simple. In this case, it's a matter of combining said models into one folder and renaming some lines in their NPC text files. If you ever want to start getting your feet wet in modding, it's a great way to.

Use the command "cam_disable" to disable the cinematic camera. Then you can kill all the NPC's and use the map for whatever you want. I do it all the time because the Academy cinematic level is very wide open and fun for lightsaber battles with NPC's.
Then type "cam_enable" to reenable the cutscene. I have them bound to keys because I use it so much.
This is only for SP though.

I love SP because I think the gameplay is a lot more smooth than in MP. I also didn't have internet when I first got both JO and JA and so SP was awesome. I'm a huge Star Wars nerd and it's probably the most fun Star Wars game to play. Sure, JA's storyline sucks but it's still fun. The storyline mods are my favorite, other than gameplay tweaks. There are some crazy cool SP levels that people have made that are awesome. I wish people still made them. Ones like the Dark Forces mod just simply amaze me. I always wished to be able to make one of those kinds of mods.
Sometimes I just load up a map from the Star Wars movies and try to recreate a scene or just mess around and spawn a bunch of enemies how I want and go through it. It's pretty fun and not something I can do in other Star Wars games.
I too can't wait for SP code mods. Hopefully some hardcore SP players will be making a couple of them so they know what should be fixed, tweaked, or added. It seems most of the coders are focusing on MP.

But he redownloaded the file so I don't think that's the reason, or else everyone who downloaded that file in the past would have the same problem.
-
I guess that's the only thing you can do at this point. It would be nice if other people would come give you more advice. Maybe @@minilogoguy18 or @@eezstreet might know.

That's super weird. It is in the base folder right?

What was the point in downgrading?
