Arches
An arch, like the dome and hole in the floor, is just bevels and caps. For my example, I'm going to make a little shrine. First, build the brush parts of the shrine how you like them.
You can make whatever sort you want, but make sure to put in columns. Now wouldn't it look much nicer with arches between the columns? Simply add a bevel and cap it. Make sure to caulk behind the curves...
Duplicate it for each column and there you go! Arches! You can use this same technique to create archways for doors. Not bad, eh?
