Syndicate: Initiation Walk-through

Foreword

I will not explain step by step how to solve all the puzzles of the level and play it through just by running it through. Since there's so little fighting in the level, it's worthless without the extra challenge provided by the puzzles. Instead, I will tell you something about each and every puzzle. This gives you ideas about how to find them, solve them and notice when you have solved them. The most important thing to remember is that every puzzle must be solved in order to play the level through, even if all the puzzles may not seem to hinder your movement forward through the level. And remember than random acts won't solve any of the puzzles. There's logic behind all of them.

The First Puzzle

1) The first puzzle blocks your way into the structure. It's a heavy door. If you have a careful look at it, it seems to be held back by four small protrusions. Maybe you should remove all of them, and the door would open?

2) If you use the easier difficulty, it's easy to notice the pieces are meant to be controlled with force pull / push.

3) You will soon notice the pieces holding the door won't open if the long sliders aren't moved out of the way.

4) When all the sliders are out of the way, you will notice that when you pull one protrusion open, another will switch closed again. If the sliders held them closed, maybe you can use them to hold them open as well?

The Second Puzzle

1) One might argue the second puzzle of the level, located in the octagonal room, is one of the hardest, because it's not necessarily easy to notice if you have solved it or not. This is not true. You will notice it immediately if you solve it successfully.

2) The Hamburger door is NOT controlled by the second puzzle. The door is never locked.

3) If you push the three buttons many times, the player will tell you a hint suggesting how to solve the puzzle.

4) You can't solve this puzzle without using one of the force powers.

5) There's a time limit in this puzzle, although you can try it as many times as you like, and the time limit will reset each time.

The Third Puzzle

Quick save before trying to solve this puzzle, and also during it!

1) The third puzzle lets you wonder how to cross a deep chasm. The difficulty of this puzzle also depends on the game difficulty setting.

2) You must use at least two force powers to solve this puzzle (including force jump), but using three separate force powers helps a lot.

3) The first force power you should try is the force sense.

The Fourth Puzzle

1) This puzzle is very nice and playful. You encounter it after using the elevator to get down. It's a small corridor.

2) If you use the harder difficulty, know that you need to use one force power to solve this puzzle.

The Fifth Puzzle

1) The fifth puzzle is presented to you in the tomb, after you have explored it a little. Nasty little critters attack you, and you have to stop it.

2) This is an old school puzzle. Try to think about some very old video games...

3) After killing enough of the things, the player tells you it's fruitless - they just keep coming.

4) Simply fighting the flying things will not solve this deadly puzzle.

5) The pictures on the walls are not related to this puzzle.

The Sixth Puzzle

1) If you solved the second puzzle, you know what to do with the crystals. If you didn't - well, what are you waiting for?

The Seventh Puzzle

1) This puzzle is located again in the octagonal room. It will also end the level by launching the closing cinematic.

2) The largest picture in the tomb is related to this puzzle, which is revealed after you have used the crystals.

3) You CAN solve this puzzle by trial and error, if you also use some simple logic.
