STAR WARS: Movie Duels (Remaster of Movie Duels II)

Recommended Posts

Thank you :). To be honest I´ve never had crashes with Luke ESB or Obi and Ani. Only with Vader sometimes. Maybe in future but these are integral part of MD exclusivity now :)

You are very welcome.

To be honest crashes really only occur when you try to load the models that don't use "_humanoid" as their base but instead use for example "_humanoid_luke,_humanoid_obi, _humanoid_ani, _humanoid_galen, _humanoid_ben, etc" outside of Movie Duels 2. An example would be a Movie Battles II character replacement, since some models use their own _humanoid such as _humanoid_ani, when trying to load the character in Movie Battles II, the client will crash as it does not recognize the new _humanoid file. I believe that the affected models could easily be fixed, but I do not possess the knowledge on how to do so. Nor the permission.

Other than that, so far everything looks brilliant! Keep up the great work guys!

Aaah. I understand that it crashes only outside MD. To return back to default humanoid open model.glm in blender and re-export it. This will make base humanoid again :)

Thank you, although it seems I was wrong. I did what you said and then made the replacement using the new .glm which states it is now using the correct _humanoid, but upon character select in-game the client crashes immediately.

I just think it would be amazing to be able to use these models online.

For now I suppose I will just have to wait. Thanks for the help  :)

While playing as Jango on the Sith Lord difficulty, all the named Jedi on the Geonosis Arena map have infinite health and cannot be killed without cheats. I tried for a good 3 minutes to focus down one Jedi stuck in a corner with flamethrower, and they took it the whole time without so much as a damage grunt.

I feel like I've been trolled

edit: I played through the mission again and I see what the intention was. However, what's bizarre is that you can kill Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Padme, and yet they'll show up in the cutscene later in the mission. This was what confused me initially as I thought that if you could kill the main cast, then you would have been able to take out everyone else without a special scenario.

Yes I understand your feelings. That mission pisses me off to be honest. Playing as gunner against like 30 Jedi is fairly honor fight and I think darkside part should be edited.

Thank you guys for sharing this updated mod version!

I know it is only beta by now, but I can see you've done the huge changes about it  :winkthumb:

So I was wondering about 2 things.

The first one is why when I spawn at the beginning of every mission I have only 50 of health and 50 of the shield points?

I mean, it's kinda logical when you spawn into the short negotiations mission, because of the gas (dioxis), but it looks a bit strange in other ones. And the only way to get at least 100 points of the health is to heal yourself or get medpack (if there is) or after you die, you can get both: 100 of the health and 100 of the shield.

I guess it's kinda bug or so. I suggest to leave it into the short negotiations mission and give at least 125 points (100 - health and 25 - shield) into the other ones, if that's possible to do.

And the second one is about saving issue. I save the game at some place and after I die, I do the quick loading by a button. When It loads, my enemies do nothing and I can't kill them + my allies (if they exist, for example like Obi-Wan) become my enemies (they try to kill me).
There's also another version of this issue. Like in the mission with Jango Fett: when I do the quick loading, I become invincible (health stays in the 100 points), but Jango still tries to attack me. I can't kill him as well as I already described in the first case.

Can you guys fix it please? Because without saving, it's quite difficult to finish the level from even a several times. And the God mode makes the game kinda boring (don't get me wrong).

Anyway, it's just a suggestion. I know you guys like to hear a feedback from the users)

1. It is because you are playing on Jedi Knight difficulty. It reduces your health to half. If you want to play padawan difficulty with 100 hp, but without god mode, just disable it in main menu.

2. Saving is broken since original game. We will work on that in the summer :)

Thank you for your support :)

So Tompa, from what I'm understanding here, you're gonna allow saving in MD2R while playing the main campaign?

I always play without God mode, but thank you)

And it's the good news you guys are gonna fix the saving! ;-)

I’d like to introduce you to the first new feature that will come in the summer, called "character sub-menu".

Those who played the original version of MD2, knows that we have extended the character menu and more than doubled the number of playable characters. However, it was still limited for us because heroes like Anakin or Obi-Wan deserved to have more selectable skin variants. This limitation is now a thing of past because we have succesfully added a "sub-menu" for most heroes in the character menu, with more selectable skins.

Screen_Shot_2018-05-22_at_10.png

It works simply by clicking on your chosen character, in main menu and then the game goes in to the sub-menu, where you can choose additional skins. This will certainly make your game more entertaining and adds hours of additional fun.

P.S.: Stay tuned for another bug fix that will bring ally/enemy affiliations for custom battles. Thank you for your support!
