[Request] New Modview?

As the source code for the game is released, would it be possible to make a new Modivew? The current one is good, but has some annoying flaws like alpha channels making anything behind them also invisible, shaders don't work in it, and being able to view a JK2 model with JKA animations would also be nice. Not sure how possible this is, without the original MV source, but it would but great to have a new Modview.
