Thanks, I've found that if the model is pre rigged to a different armature, often the weighting is similar to JKA's skeleton, so I can pose the model with the original armature, then export it as an .obj, then transfer and rename the vertex groups accordingly. In some cases I have to either mix together or just scrap certain areas, but it works well. It also is great for pointers on weighting totally unrigged models.
