Jumping AI

Hi! So, when i install a map mod and start MP mode, for some reason the ai just jumps around the map doing jumping attacks instead of fighting me normally. However, when I use a vanilla map this doesn't happen. Any explanations and/or fixes that can help me?

The map doesn't have waypoints for the AI to follow. Waypoints are essentially paths on the map that bots can walk along. Without them, bots will just jump around like you're seeing.

Ah that makes perfect sense; I was thinking that might have been the problem but i wasn't sure.  Do you know how i can tell if the map has npc waypoints?

You have to edit the whole map for that.

 

If I remember correctly, someone is working on a mod right now that heavily modifies the bots, so they

don't have to depend on waypoints anymore.

The map just needs bot routing. Look up tutorials on Bot routing it's fairly simple.
