MrDJSilva Posted January 27, 2015 Share Posted January 27, 2015 Hello JKHub Community,JKLeague/JKL also known as Jedi Knight League is a place for clans/teams for Events, Ladders, Tournaments, Matches and et ceteara, though its not pure base as esl is, there is all kind of tournaments and in Base, JA+/JA++/, OpenJK, and not just Saber-Only. MrDJSilva Posted January 27, 2015 Author Share Posted January 27, 2015 Our servers will be based in New York to centralize ping and to keep pings down as low as possible however the site may categorize everything by region but thats if the site goes well during summer but i have discussed it and with ESL we aren't just using basejka and will be trying out different mods and gametypes as ESL mainly uses TDM, CTF and Singles however with JKLeague we'd be looking in the community board on suggestions for more gametypes for example The (JAWA) Clan's Darts game type. afi Posted January 27, 2015 Share Posted January 27, 2015 In my opinion the game isn't really reliable with pings over 80. If the servers are based in New York people from the east coast will get some pretty big advantage over everyone else. Link to comment
Ping Posted January 27, 2015 Share Posted January 27, 2015 The best spot for intercontinental play might be Iceland, as long as the players are from the east coast or northern/central Europe, but even there we're talking of pings around 90-110 for most people. So yeah, I don't really see any reason for europeans to leave ESL over this, especially given that they are disadvantaged, but I really like the idea of having an american league for once again.
