About This File

Greetings

Yesterday my brother and I were discussing if it was possible to create a decent looking Snoke model ourselves. I think that there's a lot of demand for Snoke in JKA and so we did our best.

The model itself originates from Plasma's Kylo Ren (TFA & TLJ) and the head was originally a Spanki's jedi head. I reskinned all the textures to make it look like the Supreme Leader Snoke. I am really proud with the texture, especially the head.
Besides that, my brother reshaped the head in Blender and frankensteined modeled it onto the Kylo Ren's body. Here and there little tweaks were made in order to make it look like Supreme Leader Snoke.
We have also provided this model with some suitable sounds including three different taunts.

The file consists out of 2 models, one with a gold custome and the other with a black costume.

We are very happy with the outcome and I hope you'll be too! :)

Version 1.1:

  • Improved head model
  • Slightly different head texture which is based on the Snoke from The Last Jedi
  • Improved collar
  • Slighty different robe texture
  • NPC spawn list created by Tompa9:
    - npc spawn snoke (TLJ)
    - npc spawn snoke_tfa.
  • BOT support made by Tompa9

Version 1.2

  • Added the old face texture/model from TFA into the PK3 file

hm, I preferred the old face texture.

Ok, but in my opinion this face texture is a little bit better, because it looks more realistic. But I think that you mean that you liked the other face type (model) more.

If you search Snoke on the internet you see a lot of different faces. The one I made in the beginning looked more like the one from The Force Awakens. But after the release of The Last Jedi I, thought it was maybe better to create the newer one.

The left one I used in the beginning and the newer one is on the right. See how different they look. It's very difficult to make a snoke face as you can see :D

To be fair the constant angry face expression fits him more since he is, well duh, a villain, and also looks much better in actual gameplay. Maybe you should include both faces?

There's a zip error whenever I try to open the downloaded file with the new 1.2 update, could that be fixed please?

It works fine here, I advise you to maybe reinstall winzip or winrar. Btw. I'll be updating the file soon once again so maybe It will work after?

I think the main reason a lot of people think that the TFA and TLJ versions of Snoke differ so much is possibly due to the fact that in Force Awakens he didn't have as much expressions as he did in Last Jedi. In TLJ we see evil smiles and grins, and much more human like expressions, whilst the hologram version of him in TFA was very.... mysterious as most would say due to the lack of certain expressions (which is understandable why he felt so mysterious and mostly calm-like in his menacing form) and if you ask me Snoke felt and looked more menacing in Ep7 because of that, in Ep8 he showed more of who he was, especially personality wise. (Which I felt almost on par to Palpatine.) THAT ASIDE, if you end up making future updates could you please include dialogue from Snoke when the Blu-Ray/DVD version gets released? Cheers.

There's a few anatomy tweaks that could be done on the head but it's a very good likeness. Well done!

I'm sure there's a port being worked on, just be patient, anything is possible with ports, sky's the limit!

Great work!

The only thing I can advise is to fix shader file, cause the robe lower the belt is invisible inside. You need to make shaders twosided there.

And if that possible to fix the feet bug somehow (they are out of the robe texture).

Also, that would be cool if you add black robed model available to play by too, not only as npc.

Actually I don't know what you are talking about, but thats because me and my brother don't have much experience in this.

And I don't see the problem with the black robed model. You can play with both the black and the gold robed model ingame.

That's ok) I don't have much experience in this either. I have just some attempts for now but not a complete/finished models (I hope to fix it soon :-D ).

But through these attempts, I've learned smth useful.

About shader file, I'll pm you what exactly did I mean and how to do it.

About black robed models, I found out how to play by them as well. I meant, the thing is there aren't a separate black robed models in the game, like they must be shown in the skins menu in the game. For this, you need to create a separate folders with some sort of files in models/players like you've done with "snoke" and "snoketfa". Without a separate folder a model won't have a certain name to pick it in the menu or in console.

But you created a text files with the list of what exactly black robed models contain and put these files in the certain place as well, so these models exist and a player just needs to write the certain thing into console and it will be available to play by.

So, here's the full list of available models, which you can get through console: shift+tilde (~)

\playermodel for singleplayer

\model for multiplayer

I'll write it in multiplayer variation:

\model snoke

\model snoketfa

\model snoke/blackrobe

\model snoketfa/blackrobe

I wrote this list for the players, which didn't know about it just in case.
