About This File

This works for both JK2 and JKA, in SP and in MP! PLEASE READ THE README FILE!

This is a proxy which alters your graphics to be improved. Features the following:

  • Motion Blur
  • Color Grading (improved)
  • Anisotrophic Filtering
  • Depth of Field
  • Bloom
  • Screen Space Ambient Occlusion
  • Multitexturing
  • And more...

Each version of the game is tailored to be different in terms of looks. You can customize the intensity of various effects.

Here's the color scheme included:

  • JK2 SP: Dark, gray, shadowy
  • JK2 MP: Same as JK2 SP, but lighter for better visibility ingame. (Reasoning: you have light amp goggles in SP, but not in MP). Slightly more colorful and less gray/dull.
  • JA SP: No change in color/saturation/lightness. Altered bloom. SSAO OFF.
  • JA MP: Same as JA MP, but slightly more saturation.

Its official: Scooper is awesome.

This is awesome indeed. I have to fine tune my settings, but it's a great improvement over the stock renderer.

Hello, I seem to have an issue. I installed it on JKA and when ever I try to join a server, For instance on Movie Battles 2 I get the error WARNING: shader 'textures/plasma_VOTJ/pool1' has lightmap but no lightmap stage!

Shutting down OpenGL subsystem
Requested feature was omitted at compile time         and it varies per map, Its the same type of error just different file. Any fix for this? I deleted my ENTIRE folder and installed tried verifying integrity and nothing worked, Game starts up fine, looks better, but i can't play because of that error, Please help i don't want me 1300 hours on mb2 to go to waste

Also, Very good looking mod aside from the fact i can't play

Hello friend :D Congratulations on add motion blur to "qeffectsgl" and create "qeffectsPRO". Such a modification can also be used in HL1 and cs 1.6 . I would like to know if it is possible to add the code "water shaders" and shadows in the players. SSAO adds shadows but also does so in the sky of maps, and looks very bad. It will be possible to do this?

I hope you understand my English. Only spoke spanish and I am using translator online

MBII promoted this @Savage Opress. I wasn't made aware of it being on their site as a featured community news item.

I would like to report that the infamous ReShade also works with JKA, but it gives you crashes on occasions, most common after the mission selection screen during the load-up of the stage. You gotta use it via the opengl routine (rename reshade32.dll to opengl32.dll) or simply use that assistant program included! Qeffects work perfectly on the contrary to ReShade, maybe it's only a tiny bit harder to get to work (had a few problems before) but nothing anyone couldn't handle after enough thought.

So... which one is better?

Any way to uninstall it? It's not like I don't enjoy the mod. I just don't enjoy my FPS. Seriously. It's like playing the game in a constant Battlefront: 2 "501st Journal" cutscene effect with everything around also having a Force Speed effect. The mod replaces the default opengl32.dll file and veryfying the game doesn't really work if you don't include ruining all the custom key-binds.
