JKHub Exclusive TARDIS FFA - My Vision

So finally... The TARDIS, my vision of the TARDIS, the one to be used in Doctor WHO WWU project by the final Doctor Who. I spent much time just preparing for making this map, developing design etc. This design is currently my best. It's partically based on Lee Sullivan artwork, partically on Matthew Savage concept. Most is made using converted to md3, 3ds max models. I also used some Star Trek Elite Force 2 textures and recently i added several things (brush and md3 models) from both jk2 and ja and from Szico modelpack. Overall, it's a medium size ffa/team map for maximum 16 players. I hope you like it.

The yavin_trial area is designed for 1 person at a time and requires a map restart to resetup the entire area
for a new runner due to it's script usage. Since the area itself was originally a single player map in Jedi
Outcast. Higher level force powers will also render the majority of the area pointless. It's designed for
core force powers and basic problem solving.
The following force powers are all you need to complete the trial area:
~Level 1 Push
~Level 1 Pull
~Level 1 Jump
~Level 1 Speed
No weapon is required to finish the area.
I tested the whole yavin_trial area a few times and it worked for me. One thing I changed was the pillar, it
now is stationary, but the force cage at the end is still in place. It is possible to get the Ysalimari
inside the cage, for it is the only way to finish and exit the yavin_trial area. A hallway connects the
yavin_trial areas exits to a hangar lift and to the yavin_final themed trial dueling area.
The trial dueling room can be accessed at any time via the elevator to the exit of the trial area. The last door
to yavin_trial can only be opened from the inside.
Map loading up time was around a minute or so on my computer, roughly that of a base JK map.
If there is ANY missing textures or walls missing. Be sure to post and let me know so that I may fix it.

The Diamond Pit Cantina

The Diamond Pit is my first completed map, having been overly ambitious in all my previous attempts. It is designed as a RP map so it isn't perfect from every angle. If you find any problems, feel free to let me know. Enjoy!

Description/File Info :
RK Home map is the ultimate map for RK Clan.
Its a huge map with a lot to see, lot of details, and lot of work.
It was made on late 2012, but only could fit some time to end it to a final version, with levelshots etc.
Includes the following areas:
- Main Area: Hangar, Arena with transparent Glass, elevators for going to a bridge to the bottom part for some dueling and also on the other side Merc Area with a sanctuary personalized building, a house with guns and health, turrents above, and some stone boxes with hidden doors. Also at ground level you can find a door that leads to RK Trial Area.
- Going to the other areas (by the door glass arena) you can check some corridors, a welcoming one with r2d2 and protocol, and on the other front side you got Council Area (a really proud for myself). Entering the building you got the SW movie posters and a waiting area for members who will attend some meeting or want to speak to some of the council. 1st Level Council Offices, 2nd Level - Leader Offices with some hidden buttons.
- At the bottom level of the building you can find a door that leads to RK Council Room.
- The Other Area leads to a huge bar, with some cantina song, and other area with pool table, pool clubs (check the details on this one) and some sofas, this area can also be locked, for example if we have some clan member who we need to speak too in an informal way.
- From the windows you can see the sea view with houses (Jedi, Sith, Mandalorian and some members from 2011-2012, on the other 'street' you can find C and L houses) and some benches. At the end of this part huge arena, bar and beach.
It was made for all the purpose possible, having some huge huge area to fit all the clan purposes and essentially have some good areas to play on, saber, ff or guns, and also roleplaying (clan managing, etc)

The Temple of Mechanism (beta)

The Temple of Mechanism beta, Hopefully in time for May the 4th! I've got lots to do still but the map is on the road to a final release I hope soon. Many places need lighting or finished, mostly some details need to be made for the interiors, lighting work and so forth. The original outhouse map I made years ago had a mini put putt course for thermal grenades, and the Temple of Mechanism features a full 18 hole adventure golf course (it's a beta, the last few holes are in a bit of disarray.) I have tested the map both in JO and ja, some changes made for JA to work right but I did notice I missed a thing or 2.

Golf works great in both versions. FPS iz good. I've tested the map with 24 different bots in there with me and fps does drop a little bit then but it was still playable I've enjoyed working on this map. It's been pretty neat to see it transform over time and the WIP section has seen a few updates.
If you guys like it please leave feedback on JKHub.org forums in the WIP section for the Temple of Mechanism. I like how the golf turned out. I really didn't plan on making the golf course like I did when I started lol. If you guys really like the golf course and want another one give me a holler. If a bunch of you guys like it I may make another golf course just for fun

Acrobat_torture1 was made by me, acrobat. This map is essentially a short climbing challenge that can be used as a race as well made in the spirit of the quake 3 boris torture maps. Some textures were used from boris_torture2 from which he has let me convert to jka in the past along with some custom made textures from my prior maps. Map has a trigger mutliples at beginning and that can be used for timers if modders wish. Completed 8/13/15.

FFA Nowhere

One of the scariest maps ever released, FFA Nowhere is an abandoned asylum! And not a nice sort of asylum, either. One with rows of cells and locked iron doors, padded cells and operating theatres, and security bars everywhere! People have died here. There's even a graveyard full of them. But are all those who died here in the graveyard? I'm not so sure of that! You visit on a rainy, misty night, and there's just enough power to work the lights in some sections. Wind rushes through the corridors... was that someone moaning? Why are there chains hanging from the ceiling? Is someone there...? Help! You'll be glad you took your lightsaber with you as you explore this creepy place. Better hope you don't dream about it!

Installation : Simply extract the ffa_nowhere.pk3 file into your JA/GAMEDATA/BASE folder or click and drag it to the folder specified.
Map info : As said above this is my first map ever, I came up with the idea during playing a game of Jedi Outcast with a few people online and felt that most of the custom maps for the game were all going by the same types of themes so I decided to create something a little new. I created the idea of a creepy or Silent Hill themed map so to speak that night and made the blueprints the next day. But since being my lazy self I never actually made it until JA came out so the idea aswell as the blueprints stuck in my mind for a year or so. It took me less than a week to read up on some great Radiant tutorials and in the same week I started up on FFA_nowhere, so this map was also my tool to learning how to do this and that. And although this map is not perfect considering I had limited resources "texture wise" and other things, it has become bigger and better than my original idea for the map.

What a 'nice' idea for a map and with the sound effects too, nicely done!
When I first got in the haunting noises were superb, the room was plain but the fact it sounded like a true horror game seriously added to the atmosphere; thank god I have control of my bladder! The next room I went to was an outdoor area, a half destroyed room where it was raining and it felt good; by that I mean it felt like it should, run down house broke apart by age and weather.
The main bulk of the house is corridors (those are quite large corridors btw) which are very dark and damp with the occasional flickering light (nice touch). The bordered up windows and doors along with the various broken object and sharp corners really do give it that horror feel which helps you forget about the fact that in decor this house is somewhat lacking.
There was one place that really was cool, I won't go into it fully but put it this way...just because it seems like it's a corridor that you can walk down does not mean you can walk down it....falling however is a much faster method. Oh and if you're scared of small spaces avoid this place! Solidary confinement is not a nice place.
I suppose I should now point out it is infact more of an asylum and if walking past those torn down doors on cells don't freak you out...you're on a par with George Bush for reaction and intelligence!
One think that puts me off this map is the fact teleporters move you from place to place through doorways which I don't think there was need for.

Chandrila Halloween

This is a Halloween-themed version of FFA4, the Rift Sanctuary map on Chandrila! It's got a completely different feel to it, with torchlight and fiery reds, oranges, and yellows everywhere! Decorations include strings of lights, bowls of Halloween goodies, posters for classic horror movies, and an office for your favourite witch!
As you venture outside, lightning streaks from dark clouds high overhead, and a sliver of moon appears if you know just where to look! Are those wolves? Duck inside the cavernous crystal room... wait, what's that sound? Whirling winds and a pulsing, eerie glow from the depths... what are those bars there to keep in? Is that a coffin? No! Something's trying to get out!
There are a few little secrets here and there, including a music room where you can change the background music to suit your mood. If you can find it, that is!
High in the air there's a blood-curdling scream... *faints*

FFA Davik's Estate

This is Davik's Estate as seen in the game Knights of the Old Republic. Even though your stay at this location is brief in KotOR I wanted to create this map for Jedi Academy as it is the first location that introduces the Ebon Hawk to the player. I originally started working on this map in 2006 and took a very long break from mapping and eventually ended up moving and starting college. Looking back through my old files I discovered this map again and I wanted to finally take the time to finish it up this year and release it to the community. I hope you all enjoy playing it, I learned a lot during the creation of this map. Unfortunately there are no bot-routes, I wanted to include them but could not get them working properly due to the area portals and doorways. I have included the .map files for both the Estate and Ebon Hawk in the event that someone wants to take a look at them and use them for their own learning. Please note that Sith-J-Cull gave me permission to use his textures for the Ebon Hawk and that you should ask him first if you plan to use them or change them to your own textures first on the prefab I've created before using it within your own project.

Ok well lets start of by saying in no way or no how is this map a replica of Whoville.Dr Suess has always been my favorite of mine since i was kid to now as and adult.So this is Just a fresh approach to something different.It does have a nice whoville theme though.Mountain terrian a clear blue sky with the snow falling ever so gently.With odly shape houses that are lined with christmas lights and festive decaration with candy canes lolli pops spread across the lancsape.To the other side of town you will almost find something of an amusement park.With some rides for christmas fun.Ice skating,slides,the grinches leap,tube rides,a chair lift so you your freinds can ride around over the tops of the town just hanging out watching people getting a saber in there eye(YOU'LL POKE YOUR OUT)LOL.It also makes a great sniper point for your sniping pleasure.And if you get alittle cold you always go to the house with the fire place and warm up.Theres a few easter eggs around the map (good luck finding them)and plenty of weapon pick ups.There just hidden a bit.The alphmap is snow and ice i made the ice slick so watch your step.I tell ya i had alot of fun myself just trying to get to the top and slide down the mountains.But thats just me.Theres tauntaun's in there to ride around on and yes they do respawn.I think its really fun to ride them down the slides

You have stopped at a desert outpost on Tatooine. It's a place where travelers between cities might stop for a rest or some other types of legal or illegal activities. Explore around above and below ground. There are consoles located throughout the map which will spawn unfriendlies if you choose to activate them. Proceed with caution! Search around for weapons other than your light saber, you may need them.
If you're running an older PC, I do caution you against spawning all of the NPCs at one time!

Well this is the 2nd map I realeased with running NPCs for multiplayer. You are hero in this map and your goal is to destroy the base. It is almost impossible to do it alone, so it is prefered at least 2 players to complete this mission. Here are instructions how to do it:
1. Wait for the Boss to come out (it takes about 10 minutes). After comming out he will unlock almost all doors. The main door to the control room is till locked. Slay the Boss.
2. Slay the commander who is about to leave the area on his shuttle. Take a key from him and unlock main door to the control room. (Just kill him).
3. Open the "Gates" to a lower area. In the control room go down by the stairs, turn right and press on the first console with orange screen.
4. Take a lift to the lower area. Go to the control room and prepare a missile for launch. Press on the console just in the middle of the control room.
5. Program a missile for self-destruction. Take a lift down, run out of the corridor and find 2 consoles near generator. Hack the 1st computer (it takes about 20 seconds) then hack the 2nd.
6. When alarm turns on, get out of the base as fast as you can! Otherwise you will be able to see some nice fireworks .
7. Go to the control room and plant a bomb. Get out of the control room. (Just press in the center of the room).

This has been an ongoing project for several months now, but sadly its not complete. I decided to release it as it is, unfinished, because im moving on do to bigger and better things. Q3 engine just can't satisfy me anymore. Anyway, some of the things that we were planning on doing with this map were a complete weapons replacement mod; ak47s, uzis, Rpgs, etc... Also, a complete replacement of items and pickups... Also, new vehicles such as the huey on the roof and speed boats... And i was planning on doing a "modified" siege gametype... All this would have been great but i felt it wasn't worth the effort for JA. Sorry... Another game, another time. It is in fact likely that we'll work on a mod like this for another game.. We're not sure what, probably UT04. For those who care, the real reason i'm moving on is that i'm just tired of getting ignored for my NON-Star wars themed stuff.
