    Original Author: BoBnoGG!n

    Description:

This mod makes the sabers more realistic...no...perfect compared to the movies. ive downloaded other mods and i just havnt found the 1 i like so i made this my self....its my first mod and i know i sound cocky but i just want u to try this. its not too fat, uses the same colors and has a nice solid centre to the sabre....its tip ia also not to sharp or too round or funny shaped.....and it should work with all versions of starwars jedi academy. its a minor mod and wont affect that much to gameplay but at around 42kb, it should b worth it.

  3. Prequel Sabers

I've been working on lightsaber blades & saber_trails that look like in the prequel movies, as much as possible.

To be honest, this was my first try at making lightsaber blades, taking that into consideration; this turned out pretty good.
Not that there aren't enough lightsaber blade mods already, infact; there are some pretty good looking files uploaded here,
but I just felt like trying something different since I feel more comfortable mapping.. Next update will include new sounds as well.

I haven't tested this on OpenJk yet, but it should work just fine.

    Readme file included.

Special thanks to Mrozy, Kody 55, Iskk & Maugrim for the screenshot.

  5. Episode 2 Blades

    Author: YashTS

These were some pretty good round sabers I found on filefront/jk3 files. These don't conflict with the hilts I use so they are ideal for me. Here's the realm that came with the file, it is also included in the zip:

[update: new blade shape, sounds, and colors] These recreate the blades seen in ep2.
The screens are pretty bad so check it out yourself in the game. Remove any other saber
mods (INCLUDING MY OLD ONES IF U HAVE EM). Put selected pk3's in gamedata/base folder
(jka or jk2). The colors in the ep2.blades_v3.pk3 are using the originals.
So if you want the new colors, add the other pk3's to the gamedata/base folder.

    Comments : have fun

Update in Detail : -Fixed the saber swing (more accurate to the movie).
-The shape of the blade redone
-Fixed up the sound pack with cleaner sounds(episode 2 sounds).
-Fixed up some colors (colors inside the pk3)

  6. Missing NPC's

These are four Non Player Characters (NPC's) that were originally released with single-player Jedi Outcast (JKII). Although the NPC's themselves were included in Jedi Academy as well, the textures and a few other files were omitted, since none of these NPC's were actually used in the game. This file makes them available for everybody to use.

    The NPC's are:
    glider
    mark1
    mark2
    minemonster

The glider is a flying reptile native to Yavin IV. It looks like a cross between a pterodactyl and a heron. When you spawn it, it will be "asleep." The easiest way to wake it up is to spawn a jawa nearby and walk in front of it. This works well for droids as well. The glider doesn't move very quickly, but it will follow you if you were the first person it saw when it woke up. Otherwise it's harmless. RavenSoft didn't make any sounds for the glider.

For a more dynamic glider, check out my Glider Vehicle pk3. It uses the pekopeko and shakk sounds.

The mark1 is a large, heavily-armed attack droid. It'll attack as soon as it sees you.

The mark2 is a small droid that sort of sits there whirring about as if deciding what to do next. So far as I've seen, it's harmless.

Minemonsters, or "shrugs" as we've been calling them on the server for ages, are nasty little creatures from the crystal mines of Artus Prime. They're surprisingly fast and vicious, and a swarm of them can cause serious injuries in a short time. Thankfully, they're not very smart.

  10. NEW Korriban Sky + Music

    Description:
One of the biggest things that's always rather annoyed me about Jedi Academy, is how the Sky on Korriban (The last level in the game, as you head towards Marka Ragnos' tomb to confront either Tavion and/or Kyle Katarn. Depending on whether you chose the Dark Side or the Light Side), is the lack of atmosphere on the level. It really doesn't convey any sense of situation or feeling of what path you've chosen, as such or where you are. What this mod does, is try to deliver just that (quite well, I might add too). It includes a NEW and more authentic sky for the world of Korriban, as you will see from many sources across the web and other STAR WARS games that include the Sith planet. As opposed to the default cloudy, blue sky that was in the base game. It also includes the very dark and ominous music of the Sith, so as you're exploring the Sith Temple (whether you've chosen "Light Side" or "Dark Side" in the previous mission, on Taspir III), it should deliver a more authentic experience, all-round.

  11. SW:TOR Cursor

  12. Episode 7 Millenium Falcon (map prop replacement)

This is a very small mod that simply replaces the parked Millenium Falcon from the Tatooine Mercenaries level into the one from Episode 7. Basically it's the same 3D model and textures except for the radar dish that I replaced with a custom rectangular one to make it look like the TFA one.

This is my first mod so let me know if it caused any issues with your game or if it didn't work.

Thanks for checking this out and I hope you like it!

  13. Simple Crosshair

This is a very simple mod that replaces the default crosshair with all but a simple dot. This is common in a lot of games, to simplify a third person or first person experience. I felt like the default crosshairs were created more for guns, and when you play mostly just using a saber (on MP), it's nice to get the bulky crosshair out of the way and keep it simple.

Again, this is another simple mod that I've had for awhile that I figured others would get use out of.

This replaces the default crosshair (1) - if you use another built in crosshair (2-10) then you'll need to switch to the default. You can use this command in the console to do so:
    /cg_drawcrosshair 1

  17. Circa's Font Pack I

This is a small collection of new fonts for the chat and various other areas of the game, such as the minimal hud and weapon selector.

    Fonts included in this pack:

    Arial (Light)
    Helvetica
    Tech Advanced

They are a great way to spruce up the old game and give it a new look. Besides, the default chat font is awful.

NOTE: This currently only works in base. Not sure about other mods.

  20. 57C Holocam Replacement

This mod replaces the default camera model with the 57C holocam model seen in the movies. I haven't noticed any frame rate drops, but due to the more complex geometry some lag might occur on slower machines. Aside from that I haven't noticed any bugs. I haven't tested it with Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, but given that the model paths are the same it should work with it as well. To install, unpack the file z_57C.pk3 into your GameData/Base folder. To uninstall, remove the file z_57C.pk3 from the GameData/Base folder.

  21. The Jedi Academy Texture Overhaul - Tatooine

Jedi Academy is a great Game but since it is from 2003, the graphics need an overhaul for that the fan of the force may have the best gaming experience possible!
This Mod will, when finished, replace nearly all in-game textures (which seem somehow blurry and grey-ish) with High-dynamic-range-like Versions of them and/or with custom textures of 2 times (some even 8! times) the original size. It is perfectly safe and very easy to install or uninstall from your system because it will not alter the files in your installation folder directly.
More detailed instructions will be included in the release(s).
This will be my first real mod, so I hope people will like it and use it.

This is the third Level available as an extra/seperate download, however this is a more up-to-date Version of the sandcrawler level (compared to the fromer complete pack) with several new fixes.
Important rename the .pk3 file: add a k to the files name, this insures that it will be loaded AFTER the former packs and thus the updated textures will show up ingame

  23. Highspeed Melee

    Author
    HOUOU

    Former highspeedmelee3 was improved.
First, glafile was deleted, and capacity was greatly reduced.
Therefore, you must put [japlus_gla_anims.pk3] with JA+ Mod.

One more, a balance wasn't appropriate with multi-player.
    Therefore, some are being adjusted.

Because a problem was found, fast stance was changed to new stance.
Then, even a single-player can use a new saber stances.

    1.Melee motions
The number of frames of meleemotion and a speed were revised.
Former back running was deleted, and the left kick and front get up were amended with multi-player.
One back flip was changed with single-player.

    2.Saber stances
Saber stance of medium and dual was added newly, and fast was amended.

    3.Melee effects
Melee effects with single-player were amended.

    4.Melee sounds
    Melee sounds were amended.

    [About mod of the multi-player]
This MP version mod can use even baseJKA(stance and motion only) and Force Mod III except for JA+ Mod.
(But, a balance isn't so appropriate as that.)

ALT---(It changes by the pressed direction key.)---Kick
CTRL+ALT---(It changes by the pressed direction key.)---Grasp attak
USE---(It changes by the pressed direction key.)---Avoidance movement (Single-Player only)
(A USE key can be used even if it is changed to other weapons.)

    =================================================================================
[How to use melee in single-player]
It can be used with one button when the following cheat code is added to autoexec.cfg.

  24. Throwable Stuff

    Author
    Jose Carlos

Remember how Yoda ripped the X-Wing out of the swamp in ESB? Ever wanted to follow his lead? Well, now you can! This pack here contains a collection of (mainly) baseJA map objects that have been tampered with and can now be gripped, pushed, pulled and generally used to smack others around. Great fun, I assure you.

Now, this pack is a whole lot more fun in SP, where you can just flip out, give yourself a godly reserve of Force power and go wild. Unfortunately the MP portion of the game won't allow you to use two force powers at the same time (like grip and push, which is pretty much what this pack relies on), but they're still fun in online bouts. For extra enjoyment use a cheat to set the game's knockback level higher (g_knockback 4000 should be adequate, although 10000 and up is made of awesome) and take full advantage of your ability to push a half-ton crate into some poor shmuck's nose.

In closing, I would like to paraphrase a few lines from Conan the Barbarian. What is good about the Force? You can use it to crush your enemies, see them driven before you and hear the lamentations of their women.

ALSO INCLUDED IS THE ASSETS, TO MAKE YOUR OWN THROWABLE STUFF (assets.zip)

The basic resources needed to make stuff awesome. Or, in other words, to make random stuff susceptible to Force powers. The skeleton was made with 3ds Max 5, so unfortunately only Max users can make stuff awesome.

    THE MAKING OF THE AWESOMENESS
    ----
Basically the process is the same as compiling a player model.
    1) Make a model
Keep the lowest vert at -24 standard Max units.
    2) Weigh it to the skeleton provided
Rig the model to Bone01, Bone02 is used for the (empty) animation.
    3) Link the mesh to the mesh_root dummy
    4) Export as root.xsi into the "_throwable" folder
    5) Open Assimilate, add _throwable.gla, compile
    6) Create a .npc file
    7) Pack it, test it, bask in your own glory
