  1. Coruscant Sky

This mod changes the Coruscant skybox in the Single Player mission "Capture Crime Lord - Coruscant" to look more like Coruscant from "Attack of the Clones" and "Revenge of the Sith". The default one looks pretty bad, as it's just black sky and stars, so this hopefully makes it a bit more accurate to the movies. If you’re a stickler for detail of Star Wars canon, this mod is for you.

  2. 57C Holocam Replacement

This mod replaces the default camera model with the 57C holocam model seen in the movies. I haven't noticed any frame rate drops, but due to the more complex geometry some lag might occur on slower machines. Aside from that I haven't noticed any bugs. I haven't tested it with Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, but given that the model paths are the same it should work with it as well. To install, unpack the file z_57C.pk3 into your GameData/Base folder. To uninstall, remove the file z_57C.pk3 from the GameData/Base folder.

  3. Jedi Academy Remastered Levelshots

This is a part of my overhaul of base JA, I did the levelshots to each stage with corresponding artwork from the late Ralph McQuarrie, who worked on concept art for the original movies in such a way that impacted their final aesthetic outcome. This is my tribute to him for JA, as I think that his wonderful work should be seen by more eyes. I've also updated the levelshots for the multiplayer levels as well. Enjoy! Put this together last weekend.

  5. Ingame Menus

This mod is the ultimative lifetime-saver for people who have more than one server to play on.
It allows you to open the serverbrowser-, the demo- and the create-a-server-menu while you're ingame.

Obviously the serverbrowser is most useful, because you don't have to leave the server anymore to watch the serverlist.
But the other menus may be also useful for some people.

The installation is as simple as with every other mod:
Copy the .pk3 file in your gamedata/base folder or the folder of any mod (e.g gamedata/japlus).

    Have fun >:')

  6. Mass Effect 3 HUD

This HUD is designed to mimic the heads up display from the Mass Effect games - particularly Mass Effect 3. Some tweaks had to be made to make it fit Jedi Academy, so it's not 100% perfect.

The blue section represents your shields. The red portion represents your health. The purple section represents your "biotics" (your Forcee pool, in other words).

While ammunition in ME3 is on the left, I wasn't really able to get the HUD to work with me on that so it's on the right instead, although it uses the same style as it does in ME3. The left, since I didn't have anything good to put there, features an N7 plate which is purely aesthetic.

Lastly the saber style indicator is below the force pool and is fairly easy to see. To avoid confusion I kept the same colors Jedi Academy uses now - blue for fast, yellow for medium, and red for strong. Although really, with this HUD why would you be using sabers? Shoot those geth!

The geth, by the way, is coming soon. Also. The font in the screenshots? Totally included.

I suggest the following additional Mass Effect mods to compliment your new HUD:

  7. Hydroball Cosmetic Pack

    Description:

This pack contains a handful of files, all of which require placement in your Gamedata/Hydroball folder, not your Base folder. I started putting this together simply so that when I glanced at the main menu, I could tell if the mod was running or not. Whilst I was making the change, I decided to make a couple more. The effects of installing each of the files are listed below.

Note: Only install one of the zConsole files, as they will conflict with one another.

    zAnimation.pk3
This mod ensures that your hands are placed by your sides when unarmed, rather than raised in front of you with clenched fists.

    zConsole.pk3
This alters the Base console to display my new Hydroball logo without affecting the transparency.

    zConsole_Transparent.pk3
This mod makes the console fully transparent, with the addition of a unique Hydroball logo I designed.

    zHud.pk3
Installing this pk3 removes unnecessary clutter surrounding the in game HUD.

    zMenu.pk3
This replaces where it reads "Multiplayer" with "Hydroball" just above the video on the main menu.

    zSplashScreen.pk3
This changes the loading screen for the Hydroball mod.

  9. Realistic Saber Trails

What's the main difference between the lightsabers in the movies and the lightsabers in JKA? Physics! That's right!

In reality, when you swing something, the very tip of the object will be moving faster than the part closest to your hand... it must travel a greater distance at a faster rate. So why would it make sense for the saber-trail of a lightsaber to be uniform across the entire blade (JKA logic)? It doesn't... so I made this here mod to try and compensate for the lack of proper lightsaber realism. It's not much, but it's all I've got!

Many of you have played Movie Battles as well - no I didn't steal this from MB2. I made these images entirely on my own. I didn't even know about the MB2 lightsaber effects until someone told me. Anyways, they're clearly a lot better than what I have here - but seeing as they aren't available outside of the actual mod, this is the next best thing (so far)!

    Side Note:
This also slightly shortens the kata's saber trail (unintentionally)... makes the kata look at lot less spammy though.

  11. Jango's Bounty Hunter Scanner

    TITLE: Bounty Hunter Scanner
    AUTHOR: Botdra Lar'les

    +++++++++++++
    Description:
    +++++++++++++

This is a recreation of Jango Fett's scanner from the game Star Wars: Bounty Hunter. Just a simple HUD mod that keeps the base Jedi Academy tickers and stat locations, just adding the overlay of Jango's scanner to it. The reticle is centered for most weapons, however JA's crosshair actually moves depending on the weapon you have, so I've left in the faded white JA crosshair so you can compensate for that.

NOTE: THIS IS BEST USED IN FIRST-PERSON MODE WITH GUNS AS IT MORE ACCURATELY TRACKS THE CROSSHAIR THAN IN 3RD PERSON MODE

In future versions I will be adding:
    - Fix for the moving crosshair in first-person
    - Removing the overlay when not in first-person mode (for the sake of realism)
    - Functional version that shows bounty information when aiming at an enemy
    - Scripting the bounty information to show the name of the player you are looking at
    - If possible, adding a "No Bounty Posted" message when looking at a friendly and/or neutral NPC
    - Making the overlay it's own entity so it becomes compatible with other HUD mods and the "JA basic HUD" (which just displays numbers)
    - Add ability to turn the entire scanner on/off with a single button

  13. Additional Saber Colors

This mod adds some sabers that simulate a few possible RGB colors in singleplayer.

This ONLY includes single sabers and dual wielding, no saber staves.

It is possible to make this sort of thing for saber staves, but you would need to edit a model and add a couple of blade tags. Check out a hilt-making tutorial if you're feeling up to it.

    INSTALLATION:
Place the add_saber_colors.pk3 in your Jedi Academy GameData\Base folder.

    USAGE:
Load a save or start a new game.
Press shift + tab to open the console.
Type helpusobi 1 to enable cheats.
    saber sabername
    for a single saber, or
saber sabername sabername to dual wield sabers.

    The available sabernames/colors are:

    col_white
    col_cyan
    col_lime
    col_darkorange
    col_pink
    col_violet
    col_salmondark
    col_salmonlight
    col_salmonpink
    col_twocolor
    col_multicolor

All of the sabers except twocolor and multicolor should be equivalent in gameplay to normal sabers, except for some mostly unnoticeable things (more sparks, etc).

Twocolor and Multicolor are different, as they aren't composed of two fully overlapping blades like the rest. This means that they may be slightly more or less powerful than normal sabers. I tried to compensate, but it's not ideal.

I strongly recommend editing the files and playing around with the twocolor and multicolor color combinations if you're partial to those. There are quite a few possibilities.

All of the sabers use the saber_9/Firebrand hilt. If you wish to use a different one, simply edit the colored.sab file within the pk3 and change the "saberModel" line to whatever model you wish to use. You should be able to use any hilt, default or not.

    KNOWN BUGS:

The saber colors reset upon a mapchange, forcing you to use the saber cheat again. I don't know of a way to fix this at this point.

  14. RGB Base Skins (3.0)

This mod adds RGB (char_color_red, char_color_blue, char_color_green) support to the 45 playable base models. For any default model, the RGB skin can be accessed via the console (SHIFT+`) by typing the following command:

    /model MODELNAME/rgb

where MODELNAME is any of the models listed below.

Other supported custom models are Hapslash's Stormtrooper and Mandalorian's Boba Fett (http://jkhub.org/files/file/1947-fettpack/), if you set up the model to overwrite the default boba_fett and include the [RGB_Skins_MandaBobaFix].pk3 in your base.

Once you have the RGB variant of the model selected, you can change the color instantly to any color (and other people see the change instantly [only if they have the mod as well], they do not have to "refresh" their skin list to get the updates). For example:
    /char_color_red 255
    /char_color_blue 0
    /char_color_green 0
will produce the color red. You can use any combination of R G and B (just make sure each one is between 0 and 255).

If you have JAPLUS, you can use the single command "/amcolor R G B" instead of the three char_color commands.
    (For example, "/amcolor 255 0 0" will produce red).

This mod also includes team skins and icons for the jawa model!

The models with a * next to it denotes a comment, and the models with a + next to it indictates that there are additional variants of that model included.

**This model, jedi_chewbacca_rgb, is included to allow the use of the Chewbacca RGB skin in team gametypes. Having "jedi_" in the model name forces the RGB colors displayed to be red or blue, depending on the team you are on, while also retaining your char_color_red, char_color_green and char_color_blue values. Without "jedi_" in the name, Jedi Academy appears to reset char_color_red, char_color_green and char_color_blue to have values of 255, but these values aren't locked.

***If you are using Hapslash's Stormtrooper model, refer to the installation instructions!

****This skin, trandoshan/rgb, is essentially the same as the default trandoshan/sp skin. This additional skin is provided for consistency with the other models.

  18. EpIII Sabers & Effects

I had finished this one so long ago before i stopped playing/modding. It was initially for a request but ended up taking awhile due to trying to once and for all perfect the recreation of the very distinct saber flare effects from Episode III that i could never get right in my earlier modding attempts. The saber blades in this game are already quite similar to Ep III so i tried to add as much detail to the textures as i could to make it more then just another shaped white line mod, and spent a lot of time trying to get the trails matched up with the curved arc and thickness.

The flare impacts are dynamic in the way they work so when the effect stacks for instance in a clean saber swing through a model, the effect will be large and explosive, but a nick will be a tiny flicker etc. I spent a lot of time tweaking each version (model impact, saber on saber, and blaster impact) to make them truly accurate to the movie scenes and function appropriately. I was so proud of finally getting the flares just right so i finally forced myself to put the details together and get it uploaded, hope ya'll like it.

  19. Water Wake Shader MP Fix

This mod fixes the broken water wake shader in multiplayer, when the player or NPC is standing in water. Normally the shader works in vanilla SP but not in MP, but this will make it work in both. A GIF and video are included to show the difference. Before it was just a static image which looked quite bad.

I actually made this back in 2016 but completely forgot to release it.
The file has to be loaded first, even before the assets, so do not rename it. This is why it has a 0 in the name. In addition, the shader itself can't be renamed either.

  20. Widescreen levelshots

    Description
This modification brings reworked levelshots, with a higher resolution, and is designed for use on a monitor with a 16:9 ratio.
They were shot at 1920x1080, and then scaled to 2048x1024 (the dimensions need to be powers of 2).
While they're slightly different from the original levelshots, they were shot roughly in the same location on each map, and with a similar camera angle.
As of version 1.0, this mod includes levelshots for all 56 base maps (33 single player maps + 23 multiplayer maps).
    Note:
widescreen_levelshots.pk3 includes all of the levelshots.
Most were re-shot using the game engine.
A few of them had no in-engine screenshot, originally: t1_danger t1_rail t2_dpred t2_rancor t3_byss vjun1 For these 4 maps, widescreen_levelshots.pk3 includes AI-upscaled versions. widescreen_levelshots_bonus.pk3 includes only brand new, in-engine levelshots for these 6 maps. Loading a map in multiplayer causes the levelshot to be displayed fullscreen, which makes the original levelshots (512x512) horribly pixelated, and somewhat stretched.

    Installation instructions
Put widescreen_levelshots.pk3 in your GameData/base folder.
Optionally, to replace the levelshots of t1_danger, t1_rail, t2_dpred, t2_rancor, t3_byss and vjun1 by in-engine screenshots, you can also put widescreen_levelshots_bonus.pk3 in your GameData/base folder.

    Acknowledgements
Here's a list of mods, tweaks, and tools that were used to create the levelshots:
The textures come from a mod named "Jedi Academy 2019 Edition - 4K Textures", which provides AI-upscaled versions of the original textures.
Link: https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsjediknightjediacademy/mods/6 I used ReShade (https://reshade.me/) to inject some post-processing: Ambient Occlusion (MXAO [qUINT_mxao.fx]) Anti-aliasing (usually SMAA [SMAA.fx], sometimes FXAA [FXAA.fx]SMAA [SMAA.fx]) Screen Space Reflections (SSR [qUINT_ssr.fx]) - only on a few select maps The upscaled versions of t1_danger, t1_rail, t2_dpred, t2_rancor, t3_byss and vjun1 were created with Upscayl / Real-ESRGAN: https://github.com/upscayl/upscayl https://github.com/xinntao/Real-ESRGAN I used GIMP to resize the images, and in some cases, perform some gamma correction, or other minor edits.
